      Smart start is a Denver to drivers the operator and other drivers very unsafe also had to go back 3 times before I had my first appointment the worker was not in when I got there 3 times I paid gas to get there and never got the van in for the first month appointment until I was 4 months into my 6 month program and at the end they over charged me I was supposed to have a $28 credit and the guy at 100 mile house charged me $28 instead of the credit I never have received my credit back from the smart start yet the interlocking system was always coming apart at the wire and made me almost go off the road thinking my van was going to stall when the cord unplugged. The first time the cord came unconnected I thought I was stuck miles away from home with no money to fix it or get van towed I was lucky to finally get it taped back together after a night of sleeping in my van in a city parking lot the whole experience was very messed up and I feel that it does not solve any problems at all it makes them worse.

      I've had the device for around eight months now. I'm extremely frustrated and honestly disheartened reading all of the similar reviews here. So far I've had to swap out my battery 4 times in my vehicle, and after reading further I can see why. My cars battery is tucked under the driver side wheel well so its no walk in the park swapping this out. I understand that I am to deal with the consequences of my actions. But soaking people for cash after making yes... a very bad mistake is just pure evil. I lost my license for 7 years, and need this device mandatory for 3 years. After my impaired I cleaned my life up. Went to college got a great job to support my family. Now I'm afraid ill lose my job or put my family in danger while on the road because of this unreliable device. This is truly a disturbing circumstance to be in.

      no stars **** off i been really on trying by pass the smart lock they owe 170 dollars to for f*** ** up machine that giving( close month ) is reading after third blow violation the 3rd one i start** thecar got scrap** my windows back in buzzer is off so blow violation i wii get my money back you rippoffs

      This product is absolutely terrible. Im forced to get it for a year just to drive. Fine. The product doesnt work (keep getting violocks saying mouth closer). Awesome. Cant get a different product and they cant fix this embarrassment. This is a clear violation of my rights and my lawyer will be hearing about it. Smart start is a joke and needs to be forced out of business. Period!

      These people are crooks taking advantage of vulnerable people who had a little bad luck by draining money out of them for ridiculous reasons. Takes me many trys and over 10 minutes to get my car to start in the cold weather. **************** is completely useless. I asked for a call back and they called back 13hrs later. They think they can treat us like dirt without consequence because they are the only option we have if we want to drive. This is a scam and the gouvernement is encouraging them.
