As someone with 43 years of experience in the world of gemstones, and Geology, Silver Cove is absolutely the WORST company it has ever been my misfortune to come across. I started buying gemstone items from multiple different sellers around the end of June 2021, to create my own huge collection--13 sellers, to be exact. Most were small companies, owned by one individual or a couple. Silver Cove was the biggest, and the only one with dozens of employees. I attended their ******** Live shows constantly for most of a month, and made 7 different orders in 3 weeks--2 from their online store, and the rest from their Live shows. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered a lot of bad, and even illegal, things about them. First, they regularly misidentify stones, putting names on things to make them SOUND better than they actually are (such as calling banded Calcite, a mint greenish stone, Green Onyx, when it's not Onyx at all), and then charging higher prices for it (a tea light/sphere holder made of the aforementioned banded Calcite goes for $30 CAD on their website, despite being worth about half of that, for example). Second, they consistently and constantly lie to customers. In my own experience, I have had hosts tell me they were going to gift me something for being nice to others (I bought multiple items, then gifted them to other people), only to tell their billing department to charge me for them, and that I "wouldn't even notice anyway" because I bought so much stuff. Except, I DID notice. Third, they CONSTANTLY break items they ship, because they blatantly refuse to properly wrap ANYTHING. Their shipping department apparently has a policy of using as little bubble wrap as possible to merely cover items, not enough to actually protect them. I received 3 broken shipments in a row, with 5 items broken, all of which I had to demand a full refund for. Their shipping manager, Live Show manager and owners lie more than anyone else, and they create the culture there that they expect others to follow. The few employees who actually cared about their customers, or did things the right way, were recently fired without cause or made miserable and run off. I know this for a fact, as I amin direct contact with two of those former employees. I have also heard directly from at least a half-dozen other former customers, all of whom have had the same experiences as I have, especially once they discovered what Silver Cove was actually doing and said something about it. The most egregious violation, however, came to light very recently. I learned from 3 different people, none of whom know each other but only have me as a mutual friend, that all 3 were on a Live show recently where the host was attempting to sell what SHE called a "Moldavite bracelet" for $1,200. There were a few issues, however. For one, after seeing screenshots of this item myself, and after a gem expert I know also saw them, both of us realized immediately that it was fake, so that's committing *****. But in addition to that, the so-called "certificate of authenticity" was accidentally shown by the host during the Live show, and it was created and signed BY THE OWNERS, who are NOT gem experts, nor qualified to authenticate ANYTHING. **** ** ******** ********* *** **** **** * ********** **** *** ** *** ****** ********** **** ******* *** **** ******** ********** ** *** ******** ********** *** ***** *** ***** ******* *** **** *** ***** ************ ** ** ****** *** ** *** ****** ** ****** ** ***** **** ** *** ********* ******* **** *** ***** ** ********* *** *** ***** ** ****** ** ******* *** ******** ****** ***** ** ****** **** *** ******** And I don't want anyone being lied to or treated like I was. Because before I figured out what was really going on, I spent more than $4,000 with their company. Yet, despite being their best customer, they repeatedly lied to me, ripped me off, refused to wrap items properly (despite me asking, begging, demanding, and even offering extra money for them to do so), and tried to cover up their lies and *****. So if they will do this to me, who spent thousands of dollars with them...imagine what they would do to everyone else, especially if they think they can get away with it.
