On March 21 2023, ADL Property Services Ltd. and Darcy Berent were charged under the Consumer Protection Act and the Prepaid Contracting Business License Regulation. The Charges were laid by the Government of Alberta and are as follows:
- Two counts of doing or saying anything that might reasonably deceive or mislead a consumer
- Two counts of operating without a license- Two counts of having a contract that does not comply with the Act
- Two counts failure to refund a consumers money within 15 days of the cancellation
of a contractA date has been set for September 20, 2023 for Plea.
