Our vehicle had a recall about wheel studs which may be defective. We booked an appointment for Friday July 8 at 9 am 2022 . We were told to drive around the back and they would guide us up onto a hoist. We were then told that we could stay and watch the procedure. The mechanic removed the lug nuts and then tried to remove the tires. Unfortunately the tires were really stuck on the hubs and he had to resort to using penerating oil and banging on the tires to loosen them. The mechanic was using a steel ************************* which is a big no no and he started to hit the rims and in doing so he was gouging and denting the rims. I called the service manager and got him to come and see this. The service manager asked me what the problem was and I was very upset about my truck rims being disfigured and damaged. The manager told me that this was perfectly normal and that nothing was wrong. I was very upset because the mechanic also struck the wheel weights and nocked them off the rims. I told the manager that they would have to replace the damaged rims and re balance the wheels. The mechanic said that I didn't need the weights. The manager then gave me a used rim and told me to get out and never come back to them again. I called fountain tire and they took me in and fixed everything up but it cost me $339.30 and Bridge city said that they would not reimburse me for their shoddy workmanship. My big concern is that Bridge city Chrysler told Mopar that the job was done but it was only half done. The rear wheels were never removed and the studs were not checked. Mopar doesn't believe us so if studs break and we get killed in an accident then who's to blame. Mopar did say that we could go to another dealership and pay for another diagnostic check when it is supposed to be free. This is because Bridge city Chrysler informed Mopar that the job is done.
