1 starContacted bb for a move from our ff 2 storey and was quoted ***** inclusive of their insurance as we were storing our belongings in their storage for 6 weeks. At the time of the call & quote they gave me the price with the one month free storage. Understanding we had an extra 10 days I would expect a 10 day charge for this. We were charged in full for an additional month on our credit card and told AFTER the fact that they do not prorate. Had they explained this over the phone I would have never used them. On pickup they were over an hour late, the first two showed up to take the items then another 50 mins later two more showed up with a truck and tow behind second trailer. They were there for 7 hours total (****/hour) and I was charged *****. After calling to arrange our delivery, they again showed up late and albeit great movers, I was charged another *****. Only one truck this time. They misplaced a very important box to us and when we asked about the tagging process they said its really a moot point. We have been in discussions after the fact with them and for the now ******* weve paid them they are offering us $**** back and stopped returning our calls. Theyve stated the overcharges yet have no intentions from what we can tell of reimbursement. Upon the original discussions they told us they had noted anomalies on our invoicing, were going to dig into the forensics of it all, and had a plethora of big words used to appease us. We have never been explained what any of the findings were or explained even how they came to the $**** reimbursement amount. I dont know anyone who would even think about using movers at this absurd rate they charged us. We moved from 2400sqft to 3000sqft and at pickup had 1/3 of the boxes atleast moved into the garage. As a realtor in *************** I would recommend BB to NO ONE and will continue to go to their office weekly for a response.

1 starThe movers arrived, and they started moving things out. Although they were not quick about it, they were well hydrated and nourished, as they sipped water and snacked every time they returned to their truck. There were only two larger items: a king-size mattress and a couch. A glass table and desk were also present. The rest was boxed, luggage, or bagged items. Once they got to the couch, they could not figure out how to get it out of the apartment. Keep in mind, we had already disconnected it (sectional) and removed the legs. They needed one of us to help them figure out how to maneuver the couch out the door, and they physically needed help lifting. The word lifting didn’t really exist for the two movers; it was more pushing and dragging if it couldn’t be put on a dolly. It was brutal. They started at 12:45 and didn’t leave the first apartment until around 3:30. Now we arrived at the new place, where they started at around 4:00 and finished around 6:00. They ****** a plant, broke a duffel bag, lost a box, and again could not figure out how to get the couch in the elevator. They could not figure out how to maneuver the couch in the elevator, nor lift it. We spent our time helping them bring stuff from the elevator to the unit. On Monday, we filed a complaint. Milan agreed with me that this was not right and that this move should not have taken more than 3 hours. Our quote was not amended after the video was sent, which would indicate that there was nothing unusual that would require more time. This is why they have this system. After phone calls and text messages where the movers said they had to use the stairs and not the elevator (complete lie), they said they would reduce the invoice from 6.5 hours to 4 hours, but I insisted that I given the situation 3 hours was plenty of time. They then only refunded one hour. It is now Tuesday (the move was Saturday), and I am still waiting for the lost box.

Hi *****,Were very sorry to hear that your experience wasnt what you expected. Moving days can be stressful, and we understand how frustrating it feels when certain parts of the process dont go as smoothly as they should. We took your concerns seriously and reviewed your feedback with our team. The pushing and dragging you described is not the way we train or expect our movers to handle items, and that concern has been addressed internally. Were also truly sorry that a plant and duffel bag were damaged and that a box is still missing. We know how important it is for every belonging to arrive safely. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and were continuing to look into the missing box. If theres anything more youd like to discuss or if you have additional information that may help us in the search, please reach out to our customer service team.Review fromJodi H

1 starI had used Burly boys 3 years ago and was super happy with them and their prices. 3 years ago it took them 8 hours two man crew, moving boxes, furniture and 45min drive to new location. In August I used them again. This time I moved almost ALL the boxes except a few that were too heavy. We moved all the light furniture that we could ourselves. They only needed to move the heavy furniture we could not fit or move ourselves. 3 man crew, ********** to new location. It took them 9.5hrs and nearly $1000 more than what I was quoted. I contacted them to discuss these differences and they said they would escalate this. It is now October with no response. I understand inflation, but this move should NOT have taken 9.5hrs considering there was far less to move because we did all the boxes and light furniture plus had less of a drive. Why do a quote when you're going to be so far off? What would have happened if I did not have that extra $1000 in my accounts? I will be ********************** again in a few years and because of this I will not be able to use them nor would I ever recommend them again. I had referred a client to them and same thing. Almost $1000 difference, they had too small of a truck AND she had to fight for them to go get the remainder of her things.Review fromLindsey G

1 starI am submitting this formal review to warn others about my devastating experience with Burly Boyz Moving.I entrusted this company with my familys relocation, and they have lost thousands of dollars worth of my belongings, including two beds, two box springs, two televisions, and over five boxes of large framed family photographs. These items were picked up and logged by their teambut never ************ has now been over a month, and despite numerous phone calls and emails, the only response I receive is: Were still looking. There has been no escalation, no update, no resolution, and absolutely no ***************** a single parent, this situation has caused significant emotional and financial hardship. Ive had to spend my own money to replace critical items and arrange temporary living solutionswhile trying to work and care for my child. The financial toll is well into the thousands, not to mention the irreplaceable loss of sentimental possessions.Burly Boyz has failed to communicate responsibly or take ownership of the damage theyve caused. At this point, the lack of action and transparency feels more like negligence or disregard than a customer service issue.I am requesting that this matter be taken seriously and reviewed by the Better Business Bureau. Consumers deserve to be warned before placing their trust in a company that cannot fulfill the most basic responsibility of delivering the items they were paid to transport.Review fromJace L

1 starThis company left me with only the minimum of my stuff here. They were paid through aish and they left all my belongings here after 3 hours. They told me I would have all my stuff moved to the new place with another truck no matter what and then they tried to say they didnt. They left me to do all the work while im disabled and cant walk up and down the stairs with my disability. They want more money out of me instead of making this right and asking aish to pay more money. There was 3 guys and they only took 2 beds, 3 shells, my couch and 3 t.vs, my two dressers, and a few small boxes and small totes. I have been upset from the beginning and have tried to have this rectified and it seems no one wants yo fix this issue for me. Literally am stuck with no help and im a single mom eith a child and no one to help.Review fromJoanne B

1 starIf I could give a negative star review I would. From day one this was a terrible experience. 1 day before our move out they tried to bump us a day and then on the day of move out were 3 hours late. Then the week before move in to our new home in another province there were three email exchanges where it was confirmed the date of delivery to our new home. Day before we get a text saying our belongings will not be to us for another week. After 3 hours on the phone trying to get a hold of someone there, our logistics coordinator and his manager confirmed they screwed up. We had to get a hotel, meals for 5 days and lost wages for taking time off for our original move in date. When I requested this be compensated they said no, they turned around and gave us $250 off of a $9000 move, which ended up costing us $2600 more due to the 5 days we had to live out of a hotel. Would never recommend Burly Boyz moving and storage to anyone. The absolute worst.Review fromRoberta B

1 starI used Burly Boyz for my recent move from *********** to ****************. It was a very disorganized and stressful process with this company. From the start their communication was sub par. My relocation coordinator had the wrong date and plan at the beginning and instead of seeking a solution she just laughed and argued with me about it. I requested my delivery date before my possessions were even packed up, it took multiple emails to get her to acknowledge my request, and then she wouldnt give me a delivery date until 2 weeks after I took possession of my new home. They then tried to overcharge me by 1700$ and it took multiple calls and emails to sort that out- I didnt actually owe them that money. They charged me for a mattress protector, when there was no mattress in my move and they still owe me the money for that. They broke multiple items, when I tried to make a claim they came back saying that even though I had chosen the comprehensive coverage, they had forgotten to charge me for it so nothing in my move was covered. They said I could then pay the insurance fee, submit a claim and see if they reimburse me or I could just deal with my broken items myself. It was overall a terrible experience. Terrible organization, communication and follow through. This company made an already stressful move so much worse. I will never recommend this company or use them again.Review fromMichael N

1 starOriginal estimate was increased after submission of a video of the 3 bedroom condo. Final costs 4 times higher than highest quote. Charged insurance for the move to the new location then denied damage repairs as the move was "too far" even though it was less than 4 miles. In addition to damages. furniture was not re-assembled as stated in the original quote, barbecue left in pieces, sofa tossed in the basement in pieces, dressers damaged, industrial tool box dented from being dropped. Charged a $250 deductible on insurance and got $100 back to fix all the broken and non-assembled numbers. Some items of value were left in the old house (antiques and paintings) and located when we went back to check on the move. Attempting to contact customer service and told "they were out of town." Two weeks later I actually find out that wasn't the case, but no response after original submission of photos. Used ***** ****** Movers to get the items Burly Boyz left behind and ***** ****** moved everything the next day with care. Watch out - don't use Burly Boyz - there quoting, upsell and "insurance" sales are a scam and the customer service is 0/10.Review fromLynda K

1 starBURLY BOYS the estimator I started with quit then I received 2 emails with different amounts the same day the I received two quotes last quote I got packing was 3 people 1 day only 2 people turned up (someone was sick) a third turned up in the afternoon they expected me to pay them when only half the work was done I refused late that night they informed me they dont move light bulbs, liquids, aerosols, etc and I had to empty the draws so at 930 at night I had to start packing these items day 2 3 people turned up later in the evening another person turned up who I was charged for I dont know when he turned up didnt say anything to me so I cant confirm his hours they finished at 2;30 AM NEXT DAY WAS MOVING 5 men turned up as per quote they were told anything tagged with green tape was to stay the quote was for 1 day it was about 5 minutes travel time The boss said they would do half a truck and finish with a second run. they filled the truck and left. They came back and continued filling the truck About 10:00pm they told my husband he had to sign a high risk form or they couldn't move the safes even though my husband had been into the office and the estimator looked at the video again and said no problem. They refused to move them. Later we found 2 movers who would do it one quoted almost as much as the safes and bar are worth. The other offered to go to court for us if it comes to that Tried to reach the estimator the next day but his wife was sick, asked for Manager he was in a meeting. So we have lost almost******* in safes and the bar. The estimator said he would call us on Monday said people involved were on long hauls and others were sick. Finally he emailed over a week later and said they underestimated the amount of items Nothing about the safes or bar. Reading the other reviews it sounds like that's their way to handle problems Ignore them until the customer gives up. Never get a referral from us Obviously they need a new coordinatorReview fromNicole P
