    We booked Elemental Expressions to cater my 70th birthday party on **************, held in **********, *******. They were to provide the glasses, plates, cutlery, table cloths, ice, non alcoholic beverages, a light dinner, a custom birthday cake and desserts. The evening started badly when they arrived just before 5:00 but were scheduled to arrive at 3:30. Guests were arriving at 4:30 so we had to purchase ice, glasses and table clothes so we could open the bar and have our guests arrive to a decorated venue. The food was very late and there was not enough to feed everyone The gluten free option did not come out until after all of the other food was brought out. The vegan option was not labelled. I know of several people who only had one small croissant for their dinner (they were to each get 3) and several people didn't get to eat at all. I have attached the invoice of expected food. We added on 5 people before the event and paid for those seperately (see attachment). There waws not enough food at all. She even spelled my name wrong on the cake! The staff was not pleasant to deal with and there were many other small details of deficiencies.****** ******** (my daughter) contacted ****** via email to outline the deficiencies and requested a partial refund for the ice, rental table clothes and for the ************. ****** did not respond and it has now been 2 weeks. I managed to get hold of her via phone and she said she would reply. She has not responded at all and won't take our calls nor respond to emails.. It appears that this woman has had several previous companies. She just keeps closing and reopening under different names. Can she be stopped so this doesn't happen to others?We are requesting a refund for $89.50 for the table clothes we couldn't use, $18 for the ice and cups we had to purchase, $330 (10@$31/guest) . Total $437.50. We feel this is a reasonable request.

    Elemental Expressions was hired and paid to provide catering for a wedding of 230 guests on August 13th. The menu was to consist of chicken, ham, garlic rosemary roasted potatoes, two different salads, vegetables, dinner rolls and fruit platter. Bruschetta was an added bonus for paying early. Dinner was to be at 6:00 pm. I observed staff bringing bags of potatoes into the kitchen at 5:45. We did not begin the meal until 8:00 (2 hours late). When the meal finally appeared to be ready neither of the two banquet tables had the same foods. Consequently some guests received salad and ham and nothing else. Others had chicken and potatoes and buns. Few people had all the menu items on their plates. There were two tables who had nothing but salad as there was no more food, The caterer ran out of food. There were 16 extra plates paid for as we were uncertain about attendance of a few of the invited families. There should have been 16 extra plates rather than 16 people without food. We had to take out the late lunch (which we provided ourselves) so that these people would have something to eat. There were no fruit platters (which were on the menu), half the people did not receive bread rolls and there was only one tray of bruschetta. When guests began to serve themselves, there were no serving spoons in many of the trays, there were no plates on one of the buffet tables and after dinner many of the guests had to clear their own tables. The operators of the venue noted that the kitchen was a mess and had not been well cleaned. The groom and I have each tried on 3-4 occasions to come to a resolution with ****** *********. She returned texts twice and since we have asked for some kind of remuneration we haven’t heard from her. Her former company D&H Catering had some of the same reviews.
    ****** ********* has taken down her website ***********************. She has been evading taxes (she mentioned this when asked why her prices were lower).
