While the two doors I bought from European Windows functioned properly before, both no longer open and close properly. Adjustments to European doors require specialized product knowledge and cannot be undertaken just by any door/windows company. For six months now, I have attempted to contact European Windows via email, phone messages, and even the contact form on their website but the only replies I received were promises to set up an appointment. No call was ever *********** this point, one half of my French doors cannot be opened and my front door can only be used when the weather is 'just right'. Finding another company that can service European Windows/Doors may prove difficult if not impossible.I would like European Windows to adjust these doors so they work properly again.Customer Answer

Attached are "SOME" of the documents relating to the patio door (one of the two doors requiring adjustments). Please note that this door was purchased in 2019. Likely there is no warranty on that door anymore. There MAY still be a warranty on the front door - I will have to do some digging to find the associated documents. I was unable to attach the warranty to this form as the form only allows for * attachments. Please also note that the cost of the adjustments (if any) has not been discussed: the problem is, that European Windows does not return emails to either of their email addresses, or calls to various phone numbers, or even the contact form on their website. If I am effectively being "ghosted", I obviously cannot discuss costs.

Attached is the warranty for the patio door. I also took the opportunity to attach some documentation for the front door which was ordered in August ***************************** April of 2024. I was not given any receipts for this front door. The closest I can come to a receipt is an email exchange (Attachment "2022-***** Re European windows quote (first Pmt for upstairs door).msg" where ***** Jacewicz writes "E-Transfers came in". I also do not have a separate warranty document for the front door but I assume it would be the same as for the patio door.
Again, I would like to point out that we are not talking about anything major here: what is required are some simple adjustments to both doors. The problem is, that European Windows does not answer any type of communication thus I cannot discuss costs (if any) involved.

I am rejecting this response because:This answer is a blatant ***:
I started asking about an adjustment to the Patio doors back in October of last year. (see attachment 1)
Yes, ***** was in ****** at the beginning of the year but he has been back for a while now. In fact, on June **** he emailed me: "I will stop by sometime this week. I will call you to set up a time and date." (see attachment 2) I am still waiting for this call.
Even if he had been in ****** and even if his company is only a one-man operation, he should have been able to answer emails, telephone calls and submissions via his website from anywhere in the world.
Also: Until now there was no mention of a service charge. This is obviously a retaliatory move for the complaint I filed. A $*** prepaid service charge for a half hour is absolutely ludicrous especially, given the fact that my front door was only installed in April of 2024 - and is thus well within the 5 year warranty period.
Sincerely,

Hello.
Every client must pay service call fee and no one ever called me a liar.
I don't know why ************* is escalating this matter.
For the front door there is no charge but he also asked me to adjust another door which after warranty.
So service charge apply to the other door.

Signed a contract with Jacewicz European Windows in June 2022 to provide and install windows/doors for $*********. Sales agreementamended to $********* to include reframing of three windows. Installation started in May 2023.Dispute: Contract states, (quote): 7) The installation includes removal of the old windows/doors, installation of new windows/doors, finishing the outside (cladding, smart board), and installing trim on the inside. After window/door replacement , the inside trim will no longer fit into the same place, which requires drywall repairs and Jacewicz European Windows Inc. will aply one coat of drywall mud (end of quote).Mr ********************** seems to be a very busy man trying to juggle many projects. It is important to mention that because of this we offered on several occasions that our son (who is in the renovation business) would be able to complete some of the inside trim work for a reasonable reduction in the contract amount. He offered $**/opening which didn't seem sufficient thus told him to continue with the job. They initially started to install jamb extensions on some windows . However workmanship was of a poor quality with some jamb extensions protruding half inch from the wall. We complained about this but Mr. ********************** took great offence to this and withdrew is crew, tools as well as material for jambing from the job, stating that he was too busy with other projects and informed us that all the inside trim was now not included . At this point we had paid a total of $*********. Windows installed except four openings three of which needed reframing. Mr. ********************** now refused to finish work unless we prepaid remaining amount of $3,974.03. Reluctantly agreed and paid a further $****. He then returned to finish installation only but would not provide sliding screens for doors or honour warranty unless fully paid. There are now some warranty items to deal with.Business Response

As our trim standard is a Shaker style which you didnt accept I offered to install the trim according to your wishes, but I would have to add extra charge for that.
(It makes me wonder why you sent our signed documents to BBB but chose to not to send the page which explain Shaker style and upcharge if different style is chosen-complete document with missing page is attached)
As you didnt want to pay upcharge you suggested your son can perform the finishing and reframing walls for the new door and windows to which I agreed, and this is why I never charged for that and made note on the quote Installation include installation of the product only which page you also forgot to send to BBB
Yes, I am very busy, but I never leave a project unfinished. I dont juggle anything as we have only three employees and it would take me way too much time to move from one project to another without finishing the first one. Moving from one job to the next one will take most of the day. Your accusations are baseless, and you are just trying to make yourself look like you are the victim here.Another baseless claim is I offered $** for each window trimming.
I told you we are charging $** plus material just to show you how **** are your demands that I pay you $***** for trimming (for what exactly) You still havent paid me the full contract amount.
I didnt get upset you had some issues with my guys quality work (though you should talk to me as I am the person which signed contract and not my employees) I got upset because your wife started verbally abuse them and dropping comment like there will be no mor f.g money
I am sorry.I dont allow any of my guys to be disrespectful, impolite or arrogant towards any of my clients, but this works both ways and I expect my clients to behave in the same manner.
As soon as the rest of amount owing is paid, we will get you retractable door screens and we will look at the warranty issues.

I am rejecting this response because:It is unfortunate that Mr. ********************** is not willing to address our concerns in a serious factual manner. We see ourselves forced then to *** him via small claims court.
