    We had security shutters installed on July 23rd, 2024. Everything went fine initially. But then, on June 9th, one of the roller shutters suddenly dropped and stopped working completely out of the blue. This is extremely disappointing, especially considering weve had roller shutters from a different company at other locations for over 10 years without a single issue.They came and fixed it, but then unbelievably in the first week of August, the same shutter broke again with the exact same problem. It came off its hangers due to what is clearly a cheap, flawed design.We called to explain that the exact same issue has happened again, just a month after they supposedly "fixed" it. And now they want to charge us again? Thats unacceptable.Very poor quality and service. Not recommended.

As explained in SSLs response to your ****** Review on ****** 25, 2025, for legal & ethical reasons, SSL cannot alter a warranty retroactively.The shutters for Royal Vape were installed on July 23, 2024; a discount was applied & the first repair was completed under warranty. Unfortunately, the ****** request occurred after the warranty period had expired. Royal Vape received SSLs Warranty Terms via Deposit Invoice D5339, Deposit Receipt D5339, Final Invoice *************** #********.Under Canadas Competition Act (s.74.01(1)(c)), changing warranty terms for one customer could be considered deceptive. To ensure ********************** our warranty terms disclosed on all SSL Quotes, ******************* must be applied equally to all customers.SSL Warranty ****************** include: 1-Year Labour Warranty on new **************** projects 1. PRODUCT WARRANTY: ****** with manufacturer terms, valid only with normal use as per specifications 2. WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS: SSL requires ************* documentation of installed & functioning products to validate claims. SSL reserves the right to photograph installed doors for business purposes.3. EXCLUSIONS: Misuse, Obstructions, Structural Interference, or Unauthorized Alterations 4. PAYMENT TERMS: ********** services not included SSL honored the first repair under warranty at no cost, but cannot extend coverage beyond the agreed warranty. To make an exception for one customer would undermine fairness & could breach consumer protection laws.SSL APPROACH TO RESOLUTION: While we cannot accommodate Royal Vapes request to retroactively extend or alter warranty coverage, we did:1. Complete the first repair under warranty, at no cost.2. Provide clear repair options for post-warranty service.We remain available to assist with any repair services at standard post-warranty rates.     ************* did an incredible job with attention to detail and correcting mistakes done by a local rollshutter company that did the initial installation. This local company based their business acumen on greed and no concept of quality workmanship. Sad!Kudos to Security Rollshutter and we thank you.Highly recommend.PB on Okotoks.
