    Transaction November 2 2021 for work on vehicle for $2,276.69. While working on my vehicle for agreed service the mechanics damaged my transmission. I was told they would fix the broken part at no charge and it would take a week. I asked what piece broke and one person said lug nuts. Fine. When I picked up my car I was told they replaced my whole transmission with a used one. For lug nuts? No he said it was the oil pump. I said so why didnt you replace that instead of my whole transmission. My comment, they broke it they should have replaced it with a new transmission. He said that would have taken 8 days for shipping and I said if you had asked me I would have agreed to that option. My car had only 39,000km. Replacing a whole transmission is a lot more than fixing a broken piece so I asked how many kilometers this used transmission had and what year it was. They would not tell me. I discovered that all salvaged business record the mileage and year of model the parts are taken from for resale. I have sent email notes to the manager asking for this information and he continues to refuse to disclose it saying there is a two year unlimited mileage warranty. I contacted Volkswagen Canada who said he would speak with them and get back to me but havent heard from them either after 10 days. This used transmission may have 150,000kms for all I know and taken from an older model. I bought this car to last me a long time and now have no faith in its longevity. It was "rare" that my car needed a rear main seal replaced at a cost of $2276.69 with such low mileage but I had faith they were honest. Having consulted with independent mechanics I believe I have been mistreated. ** ** ********** *** ********* **** *** ****** *********** ******** ***** ***** **** **** *** ***** ******* ***** ****** ** ****** ** ********* ** *** *** ******** ** ***** ** ******* ** ******** I believe Northland should at least install a NEW transmission since they broke mine.

    I tried to open my sunroof last week, only to find that the sunroof would not open completely. One side opened and the other side stayed closed. When I tried to close it it would not close.So we call Northland Volkswagen to book a service appointment to have it fixed. ***, the services manager calls us back letting us know they will not be able to fix it and they will need to order a new sunroof ($3200 + 190 just to look at it). When my husband asks why did this happen, why did the sunroof break, we were told by ***, " You didn't properly maintain your sunroof, so it's your fault".How do you maintain a sunroof?? I have never maintained a sunroof and when I looked in the manual, there is no section on how to maintain a sunroof. So this dealership likes to place blame on the customers for the mechanical issues the brand has.If this was the end of my experience I might not be writing this review. We agreed to paid the exorbitant cost to fix the sunroof because we have no choice. A roof in ******* is not an option and we needed a working roof on my car. ************* the next day informing us that they cannot fix the bug guard would we like to order a new one. No, we would not. Just fix the sunroof so it will close.When we pick it up the next day, the WHITE roof is covered with grease. So they did not take the time to ensure they used gloves or cleaned up after installing the new sunroof (which we paid **** to replace). So DO NOT BRING YOU CAR HERE. THEY WILL BLAME YOU AND THEN RETURN YOUR CAR TO YOU IN A WORSE CONDITION THAT YOU BROUGHT IT TO THEM IN.
