Awful business with a completely crooked and heartless owner. They left half my belongings behind because they didn’t bring a big enough truck, to which they blamed me somehow though I did a virtual walk through with them and they were the ones who estimated truck size. Anyways after leaving half my belongings behind they held my stuff hostage until I paid an invoice that was 3x their quote.
I did take them to court, I got nothing for all the belongings left behind. I got less than my lawyer fees were in the judgement and Anna still hasn’t paid a cent. I’m a single mom and I moved from BC to Alberta looking for a better life for my kids and I. To start out having to replace all kinds of furniture and clothing, beds, so many things they left behind definitely put us in a tight spot as it was. The judgement was almost a year ago and she still has not paid anything. Stay so far away from this company apparently she owns

they were very good with communication before we chose them. after our items were delivered from ******* to ******* , they lost 2 twin mattresses and a cushion. after my first call to them about it, they were hard to get hold of and everytime I did get them they would say that their supervisors know and thats it. it's been 4 months and they have done nothing and they won't provide me with their supervisors numbers so I can escalate. terrible service . low effort I told them that they lost 2 twin mattresses and they send me one text with a picture of a QUEEN size mattress asking if that is ours. I had to call from a different number for them to pick up the phone and I was told by the person that this issue can only be handled by the supervisors/dispatchers...whose contact info they cannot give us!!!! TERRIBlE customer service. don't waste your time with these guys

All started on June 22, 2022, when a cargo of furniture and other household items were loaded by a Starway Moving contractor truck driver named Andy from our home in ******* ******* ********. A big part of the shipment was made of new living room, dining room and Master bedroom furniture still in their original packaging. The cargo was supposed to be shipped to the company’s warehouse in *******, be stored there for a while, then be delivered to our new home in *** ****** region, between August 18 and August 19. Until October 12, 2022, we were still waiting for it. Little did we know that that the driver, Andy, decided to move our stuff from our home, not to *******, but to an undisclosed location in ******* ********, and kept lying to us that he took everything the same day to ******* to be then shipped to our new home in *** ****** Region. When my wife and I arrived in ****** on August 15, 2022 to start our new life as retired people, we tried to contact Starway Moving first by phone then by email to reconfirm the time of delivery and there was no response. We stayed in a Hotel until August 18, then decided to buy a mattress and a few cooking utensils, hoping that our shipment would arrive within a few days. We kept emailing and calling Starway Way, but no one was picking up the phone or answering our emails. Finally on August 25, 2022, we received an email from Starway saying that our shipment is in Transit to *******, but on Sept 12, one of Starway staff decided to call andsaid that their August 25, email was a lie, that they had been unable to locate our shipment, and when they ask Hanna **** what to tell us when we call, she simply yells at them and instructs them to tell us anything to buy time. We then involved the police and a few days later, Hanna texted to say that our shipment had been found in *********, a few miles from where it had been picked on June 22. We received the shipment on Oct 12 with not even a single word of apology.

We apologize for the issues experienced during your move. It is never our intention for our customers to be less than satisfied with our service. The claimant did bring these issues to our attention. We will work on improving it.

Worst experience ever. Destroyed out belongings, which included furniture we inherited from my wife's grandparents, custom made things we have had for over 30 years, none of which can be replaced. Now after almost six months they still haven't paid and you can't talk to anyone about it they will only pass along your messages. Complete scam of a company.

We sent him an email on Feb 7, to let him know that he does not qualified.According to the terms and conditions, it was very clearly mentioned that the damage are paid by weight only at $.60 per pound it is not value based. Our claim department reviewed his claim the estimated weight of all his items on his claim list was about 400 pounds. The claim amount of that comes to 400 times $.60 cents equals $240.00. Since this amount is less than deductible amount 350. So hes not Qualify for any compensation. However, we sincerely apologize for any damages incurred during tha course of your move.
