      In Summer 2024, I went to Remco in ********* to create a monument for my late mother, initially choosing them because of a positive first impression with their manager, ********. Unfortunately, what followed was a deeply frustrating and emotionally exhausting experience. The finished monument included an unapproved Remco logo, which was never mentioned in contracts, proofs, or fine print. When I raised this issue, I was met not with an apology, but with excuses, defensiveness, and ongoing delays.Despite repeatedly asking for updates, I was left in the dark for months. Eventually, in late summer 2024, it was agreed the logo would be polished off before snowfall. Yet by Christmas 2024, nothing had been done. I had not been informed of any delays. It was heartbreaking to visit my mothers grave and still see that unauthorized logo a constant reminder of broken promises and poor communication.Remco later blamed weather delays and promised to complete the work in spring 2025. Then on Mothers Day, the monument was missing entirely from the site. I assumed it was being repaired but again received no notice or proactive communication. Each step of this process, from initial complaints to follow-ups, required me to chase them down for answers. Not once did I receive a sincere apology or acknowledgment of their mistakes.Having spent nearly five figures, I expected compassion, professionalism, and basic accountability. Instead, I experienced stress, grief, and silence even when I tried escalating the issue to their head office. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone trying to honor a loved one.
