ENGINE BOTTOM END TOTALLED IN MY NEWLY REPLACED ENGINE *I replaced the drain plug and put in synthetic oil to ensure the car wasn't sitting dry for too long. I took a video of it starting up for the first time, and the bottom end sounds completely toast.Mr.Lube, I will contact you immediately, as this engine cost $7000 last year to have installed to ensure I had a RELIABLE VEHICLE for the highways. One finger on my car and you nearly stranded my 3-year-old son and me (Who had just had vaccinations at the ***************, thank the lord for no allergic reactions!). This drain plug fell out WELL within the given time frame of the due date (ODO is Now ******) on your invoice #******** MR.LUBE #***.Original Review:Absolute waste of my time AND money. Not only is the pricing atrocious at this location, the drain plug on my car just fell out on the highway and dumped all your precious overpriced oil ALL OVER my vehicle. Unbelievable.I live rurally. This is not only inconvenient but very dangerous when Im driving on highways alone with my three year old.I am trained as a mechanic, and I can tell right now this plug was not installed properly. I just put this new engine in my car too. But no big deal hey? ??Mr.Lube, you will never be touching my vehicle ever again.Sincerely,A highly disappointed, already reluctant customer.

On January 21, 2025 we serviced the guests 2005 Scion xB with ****** miles. On May 22, 2025 we received notification that the guest had noticed that their oil pan drain plug had fallen out. The problem was reported when the vehicle had ****** miles, the vehicle had traveled 3210 miles and 120 days had elapsed. To this point we have been provided no evidence that shows that Mr. Lube nor its employees are responsible for this incident. It is documented on our invoice #******** that the drain plug had been double checked and our procedures ensure that a visual confirmation of the double check was completed. Further more, if the drain plug had been left loose after our service, symptoms would have presented themselves, such as but not limited to oil leaks and low oil pressure. At no point was Mr. Lube made aware of any issues prior to the notification of the drain plug falling out. We would not like to speculate on the cause of the issue but after investigation we are confident this was not due to our service or employees.

I am writing to alert you of my experience at one of your stores on ***** in ******* on Sunday July 23rd. In my travels, I found myself in ******* with a nail in my tire which resulted in a slow leak. I filled it with air enough to get me to the Lube city location nearest to where I was, hoping to get it patched or plugged. Your attendant, Cody, saw two women in a vehicle with out of province plates and he thought he could **** us . He proceeded to tell us that the tire was at a 2/32 tread and that it would be too dangerous to fix therefore I would have to buy four new tires, and prepay them so that he could order them for install the next day. What Cody didn’t know is that I’m married to a tire guy ( who would never have let me go cross country on bald tires) and my daughter works in the service department at a dealership. We decided to wait until morning and took the car to the dealership. They reported the tread to actually be at 5/32 and were able to successfully repair it so that I could continue on my journey. It is shameful that one of your employees would attempt to **** me. How many people has this happened to in the past? If this is the work culture that you condone them shame on you as well. At the very least I would expect you to remove this employee and train your staff appropriately.

We follow strict Tire Industry Association guidelines. We will not repair all season/ summer tires with a tread depth lower then 2/32nds and winter tires lower then 4/32nds.

If our technician made an error when conducting the tread depth check, we sincerely apologize. We would not be in business for over 40 years, if conduct business this way. Our technicians go through an extensive tire training program, the technician in question will be retrained to ensure this does not happen again. If you would like you can bring the vehicle back and we can conduct the tread depth check again.
