    In late July/2022 I hired *** at creative landscape solutions to Landscape my front yard and fix my concrete walkway. His crew and himself showed up, completed the landscaping but not the concrete job. I had finished paying the total amount on the last day that he started the concrete. Paying in full amount in good faith due to the fact that i was satisfied with the landscaping job.This is where everything went wrong. The next day the concrete looked cracked, sloppy and just not good with only about 50% of the walk way done. I messaged *** to tell him I wasn't satisfied. He then let me know that no problem we will fix it until we are both happy. Needless to say that after that last day he never showed up to finish the job. I had numerous texts and calls (throughout August up until mid September) with him where he always claimed he was going to come but never showed. Anytime I would call him he wouldn't call me back but would say "I will call you".The last bit of communication I had with *** mid September was him telling me if I pay another $600 upfront that he will come and fix my concrete. I stated that I'm not comfortable paying any amount of money up front but happy to sign a contract and pay the money when I am satisfied with the job but he refused stating "i would have to pay upfront" and stopped communicating after that.

    Client had been provided with budget option, to make a small improvements to the old sidewalk, it has been completed after several discussions about more suitable solutions to repair sidewalk, client agreed to current solution. We added minimal cost to the estimate as a bonus to the rest of the project.
    We also agreed to come back and redo the sidewalk free of labour charge if client purchase materials required for proper application.  Since we could not find compromise, we ran out of options. Refund is not possible since we have not charged client for any labour , only material  cost as a bonus addition to the main project.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    In the first job the contractor was unsure if he could do the job and not include labor price quoted then why did he do it? He asked to be paid before the sidewalk was complete.(which I paid him in good faith)

     The second time I would have had him fix it and agreed to the price but I was not willing to pay upfront again as then you have no way to ensure the job was completed to my satisfaction. I offered to sign a contract to ensure he would be paid once the job was done to satisfaction.TO WHICH HE SAID HE WON'T SHOW UP UNLESS I PAY UPFRONT.

    I also asked for detailed discption of the work and materials and was not ever provided this information. How can you have confidence in someone when you do not know what they are even doing.

    ***** was aware of all the work done. And originally it was brought to her attention that sidewalk has to be lifted and untill then it was not possible to do any other pouring over. The damages to sidewalk are extensive and we patched most damaged areas after specified that we are not concrete company, she agreed and said to do what we can, we have only charged her cost of materials and second time we agreed to get a concrete guy help us fix the sidewalk, and we would not charge any labour cost and she would only order materials required. She then proceed to offer us 200 dollars after we complete the job. We haven't ever signed up for the complete concrete sidewalk pour in the first place. We made patches and made repairs within the materials budget

    I am not happy with the responses or with the ways the problem was remedied. He did not do what he was paid for well the first time..always wanting money up front for the work does not supply detailed quotes or job descriptions
