On June *, 202*, I entrusted my rare **** Chevrolet ***** 4-bolt main engine, a high-nickel block from my **** Caprice (*M miles, flawless on propane), to ****** at Extreme Engine for inspection and potential rebuild for my **** ********* restoration. This engine, produced ********, is exceptionally rare and valued for its stock condition with original GM bearings and crankshaft. Our May *, 2024, agreement was to disassemble together, document parts, and estimate costs ($*00 for *-hour inspection, ** weeks if rebuilt). ****** breached this by dismissing joint inspection, performing unauthorized machining (oversized pistons, surfaced block, honed cylinders), and destroying its stock value. On October *, 202*, D&W Engine Builders found mismatched main caps, cracks, and damage, suggesting ****** switched my block. My original had four frost plugs and two block heaters; the returned block had six plugs and white paint traces. ****** ignored texts (June **July 2*, 202*), machined the block in days without consent, and didnt return block heaters. He sold me used pistons/rings in worn boxes, charged for unapproved rod removal, and gave no estimate despite three requests. On July *2, he claimed great condition but later admitted issues to *****, who denied being told. ******* claim of no other **** contradicts his behavior. I retrieved the block August *, 202*, paying $*****. In April 202*, ****** refused to refund pistons or find a buyer as promised. This caused $*****+ loss, halted my restoration, and inflicted emotional distress. I seek a refund, replacement block, and accountability for ******* actions.
