    0 Starts - Disappointing Experience Inflated Costs and Lack of Transparency After spending over three hours in person with Hygge Developments and waiting more than two weeks for a proposal, I was extremely disappointed with what was delivered.I had asked for a ballpark quote, but the numbers provided were completely out of line with industry standards. The budget for renovating a small kitchen, powder room, and foyer (totaling just 160 square feet) came out to roughly **** per square foot, and thats without cabinets, countertops, appliances, or finishings.Ive never seen a pricing model like this. The proposal essentially double dipped applying a 20% markup on subcontractor work while also charging nearly ******* for Hygge labor on top of that. There was no transparency, and tracking hours, pricing, and progress would have required full-time oversight on my part. The proposal suggested that two Hygge employees and subcontractor(s) would be working full-time every day for over eight weeks in a 160 square foot space. If subcontractors are handling plumbing, electrical, drywall, and tile, what exactly are Hygge employees doing for 8+ weeks?This experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend Hygge Developments to anyone seeking fair, transparent, or realistic renovation pricing.
