    I am filing a formal complaint against Das Autolab regarding damage caused to my vehicle during a service appointment and the companys subsequent failure to address the matter appropriately.On July 1, 2025, I brought my brand-new vehicle (purchased approximately 23 months prior) to Das Autolab for a window tinting service. At the time, the vehicle was in pristine/brand new condition with no prior damage.Upon completion of the tinting service and after payment was made, I discovered visible damage to both the driver-side and passenger-side door panel trims. I immediately contacted the company to report the issue. They acknowledged the damage and admitted that their employee had attempted to remove the plastic trim pieces from the doors without my knowledge or consent, which led to the damage.I obtained an official written repair estimate from *** to restore the vehicle to its original factory condition. The estimate totals $4,847.67 (parts only, excluding labour). I provided this estimate to Das Autolab. Instead of agreeing to cover the dealership repair, they proposed a third-party repair and re-dye service, not a full reupholstery. I agreed to consider this option provided if they signed a written agreement stating that, if the repair did not restore the panels to factory condition, they would pay for the full KIA ******* Despite repeated follow-ups, they have not provided any such written assurance and have delayed responding for several weeks.Additionally, I had paid a $25 deposit for the service, which they confirmed would be applied toward the final invoice. This was never credited, nor has it been refunded.I have retained screenshots of all communications with Das Autolab and the official *** estimate. I am requesting that Das Autolab pay for the full cost of restoring my vehicle to its original condition through the *** dealership. Dispute amount: $4,847.67 plus all labour costs and the $25 deposit

    Update: the business has responded and have returned the $25 deposit. They have also stated that they would provide the terms outlined today, Im still waiting on it and will update once it has been received.

    I have received communication from the business and they are wanting to do third party repairs to see if it will repair the damage. I had made a contract and forwarded it to them. I have attached a copy for your reference.
