I purchased and had tires installed through a mechanic shop in Feb/ March. I was extremely clear that I was purchasing all season tires which they ordered through their supplier. The tires were installed and I never had to drive in snowy weather until this past week. The tires were absolutely terrible and I thought to check them for some reason. They are summer tires! I made it absolutely clear that what I had wanted were all season tires. I have since called Auto Reboot, although he agrees that I did want all season he refuses to take any blame even though his negligence put me in DANGER. The company has offered me their suppliers cost plus 10% for tires and 100$ installation so I would be out of pocket another grand at least for his mistake and negligence! They also changed my brakes at the same time and they have been squeeking ever since so I honestly doubt that work was done or done properly at least. I should be 100% reimbursed the tires which I did not ever want to buy along with the labour!

As per our conversation over the phone today. Please see responses below.

I do not mean to be unfair in any way and I would like to offer what is fair. As I have in the past. I have ******** a climate report that is always available from the government of the months that she speaks of in fact I included the month of April as well.

When she first called she said she heard about us from the internet and would like to give us a try. She mentioned she was looking for the absolute cheapest tires available as she could not afford expensive tires. We sent her the model numbers and tire brands along with prices to see what she was comfortable with. She chose her tires and price point so we chould order those. We installed them promptly.

Then she complained about her brakes and we replaces those too. When the vehicle came in for the brakes, the pads were so far gone that they were grinding metal to metal, which had damaged a wheel and discolored it. we tried to wash it as best we could to get it to clean up. This service was free. We washed the car too.

Coming back to present. She called to complain that her tires were slipping and sliding, and it was our fault. I said I gave you the recipt of what you bought when you bought them and wrote all aplicable info on the bill. I did not hide anything. Our conversation was you wanted cheapest tires. You have exactly what you paid for. But I will try to talk to my supplier and see what we can do.

The supplier agreed to giving us tires for thier cost plus 10% on thier end and I offered the same cost to her, and told her its been quite some time and you have already driven on those tires. This is the best we can do to keep it fair. I told her I would only charge for install of the tires which is 100 dollars. I asked her if it was fair but she wanted no reasoning and gave us a bad review on Google.

I am still willing to help. I can offer her tires again at cost. But I am no longer willing to offer her to install them.

As you can see in the climate report we have had may days with snow and plenty of snow on the ground with many days below freezing tempretures. This complaint of her tires would have and should have been apperent at the time of install.

    Regards,
    *******

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
This is completely untrue! I absolutely only asked for all season tires when it came to tires. The cheapest tires is an absolute lie and it can easily be proven as summer tires the ones I purchased would not be considered that! Please let me know how to proceed.

    Sincerely,

    Business Response

I dont' know what else to offer as she has clearly used these tires for such a long time. I recently got a message from her on my voice mail that was extremely rude and unfitting to the situation. This phone call was made by her at 11:31pm (yes almost midnight) on Jan 5th, 2023. It was so rude and angry I quickly deleted it. I don't believe she should be contacting me if she was the one to choose BBB as a mediator.

Another detail that comes to mind is she gave me the size of tires over the phone as 235/35/R19. I ordered these tires, and when the vehicle showed up the door card showed 235/40R19. This is the original size and when I told her this should be a size, she said yes but the size I gave you is the one I want. I suggested this would not be accurate for her speed, and weight ratings, but she insisted on this size.

I have looked again today and there is still nothing cheaper available.***** ****** ** *** is the only cheapest tire available currently from my supplier and this tire is much more expensive, almost double in price. Keep in mind that this is still the wrong size tire and compares to the one she suggested. Also, the thread weight rating for the tire she insisted on is 91 and the one vehicle requires is 96, as per my recent research.

When I told her that my supplier has agreed to sell me tires for super cheap and I am able to give the same deal, I told her she was open to choose which ever tire was available. The tires she chose are no longer available. So, the same deal may not be available anymore and she may have to choose different tires again.

I dont have a reason to lie. I am only stating the facts to the best of my knowledge. Beyond this I would suggest that factual resolution is suggested and not finger pointing. I am a fair person and would still like to remain that. But its hard to be fair when point of views are so different.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

It was extremely clear that I was ordering all season tires. It couldnt have been more clear. Reboot Auto even accused their supplier of mis labeling the tires that they ordered as all season but now they are trying to put the blame on me.
It shouldnt matter how long it took me to notice that I was fraudulently sold the wrong item, mistakes are understandable but now to deny and blame me after putting my life at risk by letting me believe I was driving with all season tires is unacceptable.
This company can have the summer tires and resell them as used but I should be either refunded in full or given all season tires as that was my intended purchase and what I was told I purchased.

if I may add the first time driving in snow with these tires (believing they were all season tires) I slid into a curb causing over ****$ in damage to my vehicle.

Also, the tires replaced were all season tires. No one would replace all season tires for summer tires in feb/March.

    Sincerely,
