Approximately on ******** ***, my 2013 VW Tiguan had a warning light.I took it to Fairview Auto on ******** ***** for an assessment. Their mechanic attempted a few fixes to no avail, and eventually said their primary concern was the Rear Main Seal. The vehicle was repaired and returned on ******** ****.It appeared to be working fine until ******** ***** One month later when the engine went into limp mode.On ******** *** (this was the earliest time I could get my vehicle in), I brought the vehicle back to Fairview Auto. After several days inspection, they resolve the issue, and the manager said to pick up the vehicle. When I went to pick up my car on *** ****** the mechanic stopped me and said it's not safe to drive due to a missing turbo boost clamp. The vehicle was returned on ******** ***** and appeared to be working.However, on ***** ***, I started to have an issue again. When I put my vehicle in park, the parking pawl does not engage and makes grinding sounds. When I put it in drive or reverse, there's a clunk as the gear engages. The vehicle deemed unsafe to drive.This time I towed my vehicle and took it to a ***************************** ****** (************* in NE *******) on ***** *****. They identified that the transmission and bevel box were assembled with mismatching bolts. Further inspection found completely destroyed gears in the transmission due to misalignment between the transmission and bevel box as a result of improper assembly. Having complete service information aside from the rear main seal replacement, they identified that the replacement of the rear main seal was improperly done.The mechanic that did the job for the rear main seal has since moved on and is refusing to answer any questions. Fairview Auto has so far been non compliant in resolving the issue, as any discussions have ended with asking for more time to review the drawings and no progress has been made. The issue has now gone unresolved for 20 days with no communication.
