Had my suction line replaced with this company on July, 29th 2022. I had stated to ARA auto that my ** was not working, and this was their recommendation. I paid in addition to the invoice attached $200 + before the work commenced. I left the next day for a trip to *********** via plane from ******* and did not use the ** till the following summer when I discovered it was no longer working (can provide airline tickets of this is necessary). I brought the vehicle back in to have it checked and they quoted me over $1200 for coolant and they were not sure what the issue was. Being a single income household, I could not afford this and decided to wait till the following May. I recently took this vehicle to OK TIRE (May 2024) in ******* (see invoice attached) where they informed me that they had put in a faulty suction line and it was cracked. Ok tire will provide additional proof of this if necessary. I then brought the car back to *** in hopes they could rectify the situation. Instead they quoted be a diagnostic dye test for 500 dollars to try and figure out why the ** was not working and where the leak was (this should of been preformed before the suction line was installed even if this was the case) and stated that the suction line was not cracked. Ok tire can confirm and prove that the suction line is indeed cracked.

Hey ********, we checked out the ** in your 2016 ***** Civic in July of 2022. We confirmed that the vehicles air conditioning was not functional because of damaged to a line that connected the condenser to a connection at the passenger front engine bay. We ordered you a new factory replacement line. Approximately 4 days later we had you come back for the installation of the new replacement line. We then we pressure tested the system at 289 psi for 10 minutes verified that everything held pressure and confirmed that the compressor was working. At this stage we evacuated your air conditioning system and recharged the system with the new R-1234YF refrigerant and everything was confirmed perfectly operational.

We have a full one-year warranty on all parts and labour. Regardless of that if the current issue is contained to the part that we replaced (being either defective or installed improperly) we would use our discretion and have it repaired at no cost for you even though it has been almost 2 years.

You indicated that you were told our ** line was poorly installed? If this was the case makes it difficult to understand how it would end up costing you another $1200 over and above what we did. Sounds like we have other issues with your *****'s air conditioning system.

Since after your first negative one star ****** review you stopped in on June 6 where we offer a complementary inspection we found out after a nitro pressure test your air conditioning system is losing two psi after 19 minutes. Traces of dye could not be located at any of the potential spots the customer has indicated a previous shop confirmed. Either way our one hour additional diagnosis was done at no charge. Our only suggestion after this was to perform a complete evacuate and charge of the ** system with dye added into the system so that we can locate the leak if it comes back later in the summer. At this point ******** declined and left our store in an extremely distraught manner.
