April 19,2022 purchase online ticket for participation in Banff Yoga Festival May 6-8. Also purchased ticket cancellation insurance at that time. Insurance was presented as no reasons needed to be provided (i.e. *******************). May 5 had to take teenage daughter to Emergency and was in emergency for approx 12 hours with medical follow-*** thereafter. Early morning May 6 cancelled my ticket and left extended detailed voicemail message explaining the situation. Since that date and in excess of 12 emails, voicemails and attempted contacts, I still have not received any refund of my purchased ticket price as promised. I have received confirmation that they would be 'refunding soon', then when nothing happened and follow up they indicated that they needed proof of why the ticket was cancelled (contrary to how it was sold online) and now they're saying it's been tough times for their organization, they're waiting on the insurance company and they're doing the **** that they can because they're a volunteer organization. This is not how their service offerings and cancellation insurance (which had to be purchased separately) were presented. We have had to get a report from the ******************** outlining our daughter's ******** information and have had to continuously call, email and even try ******* to get the Banff Yoga Festival people to respond and refund our money. It's now approximately 4 1/2 months since we first asked for our refund. There's no reason it should take this long.I tried to upload an extensive email record of correspondence back and forth with the Yoga Festival organizers but, unfortunately, I am unable to upload the format that the emails are in. If required, however, I have extensive corroborating proof of all of the transactions, confirmations that they would pay it back, etc that is available if required.
