              I made an appt with the service at Emerson Toyota for Thursday. Dropped my vehicle off the day before. Never heard anything from them until I called the following Tuesday and they had not even looked at my vehicle yet. When the appt was made full details were given about problem and truck. Also we had been there before and bought a vehicle. They said they would me back with details never called I finally called then the next week and they said it would be done a couple days. Nothing was ever explained of what they were doing. When ifinally picked my truck up the bill was for $1100 stating 6hrs labor to change a wire. This seems in excess. No explanation was given.

              I bought a used pick up in September of 2017, truck is a 2017 model and had 6100 miles on it when I bought it. I bought a warranty with it, 7 years or ****** miles, the terms were if no claims were filed a complete refund of the purchase price of the warranty would be refunded. I went to the dealership in July to inquire how to start the process, they then told me that the warranty had expired as of March when the truck was "put in service" by the first owner when purchased in April, this was never explained to me at the time of my purchase, this in fact took 6 months off of the warranty I bought. I then told the dealer that I would like my refund as I no longer have coverage the finance department then told me it would be 4 to 6 weeks to process, it took less then 5 minutes to process it when I bought the truck. I called the dealer today 8-22-24 to inquire the status of my refund I was told that they will process refunds at the end of the month. I think this kind of the old "bait and switch". I would like to warn other prospective buyers to BEWARE they want their money up front and make you wait for yours at there convenience find another dealer

The time frame you were given of 4-6 weeks reflects the standard time it takes to process the warranty refunds due to necessary steps involved with the warranty company, service department and finance department since this is not a prorated refund it is a 100% of purchase price refund.
