About the awards
Recognizing integrity put into action
The Torch Awards for Ethics are a celebration honoring exceptional businesses and non-profits in our communities. They recognize organizations for outstanding ethical practices and a real commitment to four enduring values — character, culture, customers and community.
The awards celebrate organizations across BBB, Greater Shreveport's service area:
SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER CITY - The Parishes of Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, Red River, and De Soto
ALEXANDRIA/PINEVILLE - The Parishes of Sabine, Natchitoches, Rapides, Grant, La Salle, Catahoula, Concordia, Avoyelles
TEXARKANA AR-TX - The Counties of Miller, AR; Bowie, TX, and Cass, TX
MONROE/RUSTON - The Parishes of Lincoln, Ouachita, Union, Morehouse, West Carroll, East Carroll, Madison, Richland, Saint Joseph, Franklin, Caldwell, Winn, and Jackson
You can nominate in one of three categories: Integrity, Customer Commitment, or Non-Profit. Nominees are evaluated against a standard of ethical excellence, not ranked against one another.
Eligibility and how it works
Accreditation is not required, and there is no cost to apply. Eligible organizations meet these criteria:
Located in BBB, Greater Shreveport's service area: Shreveport/Bossier City; Alexandria/Pineville; Texarkana AR-TX, and Monroe/Ruston.
In operation for at least one year.
Holds at least a "B" rating with BBB (accredited or not).
Has not received a Torch Award in the past two years.
How the process works

Apply or nominate online
Complete the online nomination form before the nomination deadline. You can save your progress and return later.

Independent judging
A volunteer panel of Business and Community Leaders scores each submission on character, culture, customers, and community.
3
Celebrated in person
Winning organizations are honored at an in-person awards event in the Region being celebrated.
