  • BBB has received numerous complaints in our standard 36-month reporting period from consumers regarding the business practices of Merial, LLC. Consumers allege products purchased from the company do not provide promised results. Some consumers have used Merial, LLC products for many years and noticed that what once worked for their pet(s) no longer does. Consumers also allege they are not able to get the rebate promised by the business, and some state they receive a rebate card and there is either no balance or an incorrect balance. If the consumer does not use the card right away there are fees attached. While some complaints have been responded to, many complaints remain unanswered. BBB contacted the business concerning the pattern of complaints. While the business responded in January of 2017 agreeing to eliminate the pattern, many complaints continue to remain unanswered or unresolved.
  • The business provided the following information regarding their Satisfaction/Guarantee Program: Consumers that contact the FRONTLINE Response Center are provided with a comprehensive customer service experience. This process first and foremost involves our technicians listening to the caller's product and flea and/or tick concerns. Next our technicians gather additional information to gain further insight in to the reported flea and/or tick problem. Our technicians then provide product education in order to set proper product expectations along with discussing environmental factors and how that impacts a pet's re-exposure to new flea and/or ticks. If still dissatisfied after receiving this information our technicians will then detail the consumer on the SATISFACTION Plus GUARANTEE program which includes explaining the eligibility requirements and compensation options available to choose from.
