In October of 2022, I fell victim to larceny of shortly after I began receiving weekly checks from Amtrust as part of my wage replacement benefit as a claimant under Workers Compensation. The claim was approved without contest. All was well until the cheques stopped abruptly without prior warning. I reported the matter to my attorney who immediately reached out to the claim adjuster for clarification. Two months later after a joint effort between my attorney and opposing counsel failed to get a response from theadjuster, a hearing was held to address the lack of response from the adjuster **************************************************, and the reason behind the stop payment. Purportedly this evasion of duty and responsibility to injured employees is not uncommon for claims adjusters nor is there any accountability.The hearing confirmed that from September when the claim was filed, through to December of 2022, *********************** has been mailing out the cheques religiously without fail, which gave the thieves ample time to use the my personal information to create a fake ID, opened a bank account in my name, affording them a reliable platform to cash cheques stolen from me as well as irs and state benefit checks of the majority of the tenants residing in the midrise building that i used to live in.This cemented fate with a stroke inducing case of Identity theft. A stroke has had me in and out of hospitals due to stress consequently l was evicted from my apartment and left me to the mercy of friends plus an eviction record.What I find dehumanizing the most is that Amtrusts bank chase, is willing to replace the stolen checks at no cost to Amtrust, so long as I have the necessary reports from relevant authorities. The fact the both Di'****** and her supervisor ***************************** won't reach out to the banks as per banks requirements so I can get reimbursed, is beyond logic
