We used this as a workers comp company through ADP. We insured a few employees- we then cancelled. ADP dropped the ball and didnt cancel the policy on time as our agent. Now Amtrust has tried to bill us. - they are trying to bill us for staff they never covered (outside policy dates) that were not insured by this company. They are basically trying to extort money from our company to pay them for staff members outside of their policy. They will fix their audit report to reflect the truth.

Our small business carried Workers comp policy through them for 3 years. We were given our premium price and paid it monthly with no issue. We got our new quote for the following year it was more than quadruple What we had paid before. I cancelled the policy then some audit happened and we magically Owe $2100 from 2022. The guy threatened our business. He kept changing the amount owed. Wanted us to pay by *****. If youre an ethical business you dont threaten customers. You also dont tell them their policy is one amount then assess them a huge fee when they decide to take Their business elsewhere.

Then they charged a fine for an audit that was never done. They then continued to deduct from my account without my permission as i had requested to cancel several times.

Re: AmTrust ***************** Policy # KWC1254886 Insured - ************************** Corp.Dear Sir,I have purchased ****************************** through AmTrust ***************** for my coffee/pastry shop for years. During the audit last year, I realized the classification number to assess the premium was wrong for years (It has been charged by the code number ****). I then had requested to correct it accordingly in my message to them. AmTrust did not do so.I disputed the audit result again in September. My business shouldn't be assessed by code #**** which is for Bakery with Salesman, Drivers and Routes. ********************************* sent me an email on 09/28/22 advising the correct code number should be **** ************************* While the rate per $100 payroll for Code **** is $2.94, AmTrust has charged me $7.30 per $100 payroll for Code ****. Therefore, I requested a revised audit statements of ********************* as well as refunds. I sent three emails for this request but has never received any answer. I called ********************************* this morning as a courtesy before filing this complaint. Nobody answered/returned my phone call. You are kindly requested to help me resolve this issue. I need AmTrust to Re-calculate my premium of ********************* (both paid in full based on the wrong code ****)Send me the revised premium statements Issue refunds for the requested period of time.I thank you so very much for your help and look forward to hearing from you.Sincerely Yours,********************************* Cafe Pastry Garden ******************************************************************************* Phone ************** Email: ********************

I have spent over three hours on the phone with a listed agent and amtrust (being cut off and being provided false promises). I was issued a workers comp policy audit which I called and confirmed cancellation last July. However, they still persisted on the audit for a household employee and issued a **** for a policy never utilized and that had been cancelled. I have received cut off phone calls, lies and unfulfilled promises to call back. I have been told to go to my agent but when my agent calls they insist I must. Amtrust is clearly a shady business with horrific service.

I am a business owner who is required to have workmans comp insurance. My franchisor set us up with AmTrust who has turned out to be the shadiest, most dishonest insurer Ive ever dealt with. On February 28th, 2022 our business credit card was debited for $5,878. This is the SECOND TIME this has happened within the last two months. We are current on our premiums and annual fees. Nothing has changed in our operation. Weve had zero workmans comp claims. Every time I call AmTrust to settle this they accuse me of manually approving this transaction (I have not) and just get a bunch of excuses and no resolution. The last time they did this I managed to get the transaction backed out only to have them slap us with it again. Its just purely fraudulent theft. Who the h*** does this? Just a random, Hey, we want $6k out of you transaction? And then your customer service department - who has no reasons or explanation for the transaction in the first place - accuses me of approving this.

The company is charging me over $700.00 for an uncooperative audit. I obtained Worker's Comp insurance through Cover Hound (agent), Amtrust was the insurance provider. Coverhound did not tell me anything about an audit until I canceled the insurance. Amtust sent me letters through a separate company. I believed it to be junk mail as I did not recognize the name. I was told about an audit when I canceled the policy in June. I have been trying to complete the audit since and can't get logged on to their system.

We cancelled this; insurance policy since we moved offices, and soon thereafter started being hit with invoices for an audit, without any kind of explanation as to what they needed from us. After all, the policy had been cancelled months ago. Through a third party (Huckleberry), they demanded a large fee for not completing an audit, and threatened to report our account to collections in the same email! Mind you, this is their first email about anything to do with an audit requirement, their first invoice, and already they were threatening to report us to collection!? Obviously, since we cancelled the policy, we had no idea why they were billing us for services they had not rendered, and threatening us in the same email with punitive action. We filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office immediately due to the obvious, thinly-veiled extortion attempt. My next report will be to law enforcement as this is clearly criminal behavior. They are scammers. Avoid them.
