We have renovated 3 homes in the past 10 years and Romanoff Renovations was, by far, the worst contractor that we have dealt with. We purchased carpeting from ********** and they sub-contract their flooring work to Romanoff. Initially, the men came to remove the old carpet and pad. We are in a 125 year old home that has old waffle pad and late on a Friday afternoon they walked out stating they couldn't/wouldn't remove the pad. Finally, after two weeks they sent another crew. This crew showed up thinking they were installing carpet, rather than removing waffle pad. They were then sent to ********** to rent a tool and tried for an hour to remove the pad and declared that they couldn't remove it either. Romanoff's solution was to replace the entire subflooring to the tune of $12,000. No thank you!We finally negotiated with ********** to purchase the carpet without install and Romanoff declined this deal also. The higher *** in both companies talked and came to an understanding and Romanoff still tried to keep the carpet hostage! Horrible company to work with. We have heard several other complaints that if a nail is out of place they will refuse to install the carpet! Stay away!Review from Tim C

I just got off the phone with ********** at romanoff in *************. What a completely unhelpful employee. She refused to call the government agency that told me she was wrong and even refused to call ********** because she "knew" that person. I was informed that she had been on the job a WHOLE year and didn't need to speak to anyone else about the issue at hand. I wouldn't hire her to clean toilets, much less deal with customers for my business. I had some flooring installed a year ago by these people and it was a complete fiasco. Do me dirty once, shame on you - twice - shame on me. I cancelled the job order. Won't use that company ever again.Review from Gregory H.

Romanoff Renovations did a great job on my flooring project.However they were very sloppy and inconsiderate. First there was grout everywhere. The walls of the bathroom, covered on a chair on the porch and on the door. A little cleaning would have been nice.Second, the bosss husband used the bathroom and urinated all over the toilet and floor. Lastly he turned off the hot water in the bathroom. Romanoff Renovation came to my home to install my hardwood floor, they did not check my subfloor moisture,and they did not install a moisture barrier under the new floor,they did not even let the hardwood that was delivered to my home to sit in my home for two days so it could get used to the temperature in my home,they came out the following day and started installing the new floor,six months later my new floor is starting to buckle and started cupping,the joints are separated, the 50% of the new floor is squeaking, contacted Romanoff Renovation ************** installation manager and she promised me that she would come out to my home,but until now I have not seen or heard from her, I emailed her and she said that she is ill and she is not coming out to no home, that my problem is moisture,my moisture level is 16% and thats not a high moisture level,Romanoff Renovation just didnt want to take Responsibility for their bad job, They have Destroyed my home.Review from Kim S

The Installer showed up on 8-28-23 to install sheet linoleum in 4 rooms. Two rooms had carpet the other two had sheet linoleum. He was to suppose to be at my house between 8:00 - 11:00, arrived at 1:32pm. He removed the carpet from the master bedroom and installed some luan. On 8-29-23. he arrived at 9:30 am. He cut the linoleum on the wet asphalt, the bottom of the linoleum that was laid on top of the luan had pieces of asphalt stuck to it. Plus there is a defect in the product. I had my male friend on the phone who is co-owner of the house, he heard everything the installer had to say. The installer told us he has problem with sheet linoleum all the time yet he didn't bother to check for flaws before he left the store. He had to wait for it to be cut or so I was told. The installer lied telling ***** with the main office he removed the defective material. I took pictures today of it all in the bedroom along with my handyman pulled the linoleum back as it was NOT glued down to show me what was causing the bumps underneath. It was pieces of asphalt and wood chips. The guy did not clean the luan before placing the linoleum down. He made a mess of the seam from the bedroom to the closet. This company has lost sight of the fact that without customers they would not have a job to go to. ***** and **** the installer put their family ahead of providing good customer service. I will NEVER use this company again. Oh, **** made a discrimination ****** about Italians which in my book is so wrong.Review from Tina M

We had an appointment for a month and a half scheduled and the only days that we could do is on a weekend to have carpet insulation put in and they called us the day before and said we would be there between eight and 11 but they had to do all of our rooms but we had paid for two separate installations And they're trying to tell us that we can't do that but we paid for two different times to have some of the carpet put in a different day then the next day they don't show up and they try telling us we didn't have an appointment they canceled it after removed everything in the house it's the worst customer service that I've ever seenReview from Joshua R

They were lazy, completely unprofessional. They were hired via ********** contract to move up to 5 furniture items per room. The contract literally says so and when they arrived they not only refused to move the small amount of furniture left in each room they walked off the job without talking to anyone. Was left to call ********** and beg for service. Entire home was torn apart as everything stacked in kitchen so they could install carpet and they simply left, ZERO CONTACT. Then when pushed they lied saying the homeowners was going to have someone come move the furniture l, they lied about the type of furniture in the house (I do not own an electric bed). It was so horribly unprofessional. After waiting for weeks, already paid for the carpet. I can't believe ********** uses them. The lack of ethics was astounding. If I could give negative stars I would, do not use them if you love in Southeast *****, but from someone other than **********. I hate to bash ********** because it's not their fault. They are locked into a National contract. I just don't have words for how poor of service they provided. There solution is they will now come back in days and the homeowner has to hire people to move the furniture the contract says they will move. We aren't talking ****lbs pieces of furniture either just small night stands, beds that are already disassembled, light couches. If my parents weren't senior citizens I'm sure they could of done it themselves. To leave a 70 year old woman in a house that torn apart, refuse to help even though it's your job and the let her love in that till you decide you will come back. Shame on you.Review from Wade L

The installer showed up after having to wait a month and a half after flooring was delivered and after having been rescheduled several times, only to have him remove existing floating flooring and tell me that he could not install the new lifeproof flooring because of company warranty issues. He used a 4ft piece of the vinyl flooring plank to show me that the floor wasn't perfectly level. I went and got my 150 dollar 8ft level and said show me the problem? He ended up leaving without doing any installation and supposedly took pictures to justify this using the vinyl plank flooring piece as his scale of justification. They left my wife and I with toilets removed, vanities removed, baseboards removed, flooring removed appliances removed. I would never recommend this company for any installation. I spoke with Lifeproof and ********** and they both are understanding and frustrated as well with the situation.Review from Cheryl C

The first difficulty we had was with the carpet installation for March 14th, 2023 from **** pm. The installer called at 8 am to let us know he was on the way in 30 minutes. I told him that I was 2 hours away and couldn't get there in time, but we were scheduled for later in the day. I called their Romanoff Renovations office and was told that they didn't schedule me for that time frame and that their installer had a cancelation and they couldn't make him wait all day just to install my carpets. If he didn't have any other carpets to install, then they had to let him go home. I want to know why they scheduled the **** pm time with me in the first place!?!So I rescheduled the installation for March 17th at **** pm. The company office and the installer never called me, so I reached out to them at about 12 pm. They told me that the installer was running late due to problems at the current customer's home, but assured me that he was still going to arrive at my home in that time frame. At 2 pm I had not heard from the installer, so I called the office again. This time they told me it would be somewhere between 3-5 pm.At 4:40 pm, without a call from the installer, I again called the office and they had already closed. I didn't have a phone number for the installer, so I called the ********** store manager. She tried to contact their office staff to no avail. I explained that I lived 2 hours away and had taken two different days to schedule time for the installation, which had been unsuccessful. I canceled the order and received credit for the carpets. Then while I was on the phone with the store manager I received a phone call at 5:05 from the installer. He said it was too late and he wasn't going to do the installation that day.On Monday the 20th, the Romanoff Renovations office called to ask me about my carpet and installation...Hahaha... what installation? Really, steer clear of Romanoff Renovations. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.Review from Brandon W.

I was supposed to have an install in December then they pushed it back to January and now guess what its now pushed back to February, Dont ever use this s*** company, they cant do a job on time. They are unprofessional and rude to customers
