The Better Business Bureau Serving the Atlantic Provinces (BBB) and the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) are partnering to host a FREE Secure Electronics Recycling & Data Destruction Event on October 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 334 Bluewater Road, Bedford, Nova Scotia.
This event will give businesses and community members an opportunity to safely and responsibly dispose of unwanted or decommissioned electronics while supporting communities in need. The event is free to attend, and local residents and businesses are encouraged to participate by bringing their unwanted electronics.
ERA will accept a variety of electronics, including laptops, desktop computers, smartphones, tablets, and other electronic devices. Secure data handling is an important part of ERA’s process, helping participants protect sensitive information while ensuring unwanted technology is managed responsibly.
Whenever possible, reusable electronics collected during the event will be refurbished and given a second life through ERA’s donation programs. Refurbished devices will be donated to charities, nonprofits, schools, community organizations, and other groups in need of technology, while keeping usable electronics out of landfills.
