The Fantastic Floor Response

First, its important to note that you mentioned being a painter helping a relative with their flooring project, not a flooring contractor. Despite this, we extended contractor pricing to you and provided a discount of over $1,600 on the flooring materials.
Regarding your comments on shipping and fees, it seems this relates to the need for additional materials due to an initial measurement error. Smaller orders do incur warehouse fees, which we pass along at cost, and shipping fees are determined by the trucking companies, not us. Our website clearly states that orders under 310 sq. ft. are subject to a pallet/break fee,typically $175however, we reduced this to $100 as a courtesy.
As for the moldings, you were informed both verbally and in writing that these are custom-made with a typical turnaround of 3-4 weeks. Your order was placed on 7-18-24 and delivered on 8-5-24, which is 2.5 weeksahead of schedule. The color mismatch occurred because you opted not to send in dye lot samples from your existing flooring, despite our recommendation to do so.Instead, you requested that we match the color using our sample pieces, which we warned could lead to discrepancies.
Even after you received the moldings, we offered to have them reworked to better match your flooring at our cost (over $500) and with expedited processing, but you declined, citing time constraints.
We strive to provide excellent customer service and did our best to assist you, despite the challenges presented. The fees and potential color variations were clearly communicated upfront, and we took steps to accommodate your requests wherever possible.
