I went to A+ Action Appliance Service & Sales in Port Charlotte, Florida to buy a new washer/dryer for my disabled son, Scott. I spoke to a sales person there by the name of Mel. He sold me a nice washer/dryer. I have no complaints so far about that, thou I don't know for sure if it works. My complaint is that I was charged an delivery and set-up charge of $100.00. I informed Mel that my son is disabled and I needed his team to install the new one, making sure there weren't any leaks and remove the old unit. He agreed. And also charged me additional money for special wiring and dryer connections. ($22.70 & $9.99). The day of the delivery, his team delivered the new unit and removed the old one. They stated the new unit would need longer hoses and dryer connection. They did not have them which they are unprepared for the job at hand. They informed us that we need to buy them and then call them to come back to install them for additional fees. Once again, I'm not complaining that the machine needed additional parts to work, BUT I paid for installation and I did not receive that. I have no idea if the machines works or leaks? That I did pay for! Just because they are not prepared for the days job, I should not have to pay for them to come back and I will like my money back for the installation. I also feel that the additional parts they sold me and they didn't use, I shouldn't have to pay for. I did try to speak to Mel, the installer Joe, and the General Manger of the business. All of them were very rude and hung up the phone on me and won't take my calls. This is why I'm reaching out to you. I feel $131.69 is fair for them not installing and testing and making sure it didn't leak and works properly. Thank you.
