Co-worker has had *** email since 2002. Last month they changed their login process with no warning, to a two-step verify process. His phone on the account was way outdated; so now the account is locked. He called 4-5 times explaining he does not have this phone anymore; they told him wait 2 weeks; he waited, called back; wait 2 weeks.... Not sure what all the waiting was supposed to do. All of his bills were on there, monthly emails and notifications; customer service went round and round stating that the only way to verify was the old phone number. *********. He has opened a ***** account now, and has to set up all of his accounts to go there; but how many of us have photos, our email embedded in every day things, that for him are all lost in cyberspace now. So I guess that *** account will sit there forever. Good riddance!

*** took advantage of my elderly father and charged him $30 a month for a service he did not need. Now after I canceled and they kept charging, I canceled the credit card they were charging now they are sending me a notice saying To collect $30.83.

AOL sucks as a company. there are some staff at this company that when asked to put a supervisor on the phone either hang up or refuse to put a supervisor on the phone. I continue to have ongoing issues with this company deleting sub-email address. Despite having two case numbers from this company regarding my accounts, their staff hang up stating they can not access the account. This must stop or shut this company down.

AOL email is truly the WORST! They delete all your emails, only to tell you if you want technical support to help, you have to pay $9.95 one-time fee or $15.99 a month recurring fee. You can’t talk to a supervisor and technical support is only able to speak with you after giving aol your credit card information for them to take your money. They are scam artists looking to charge people a recurring fee by continually deleting emails. Do NOT use aol. I would have never used such a joke of an email account, but I was pushed over to them automatically when my Verizon email had a merger with them. I would give zero stars if it were an option. It’s truly terrible and criminal to delete emails just for a money grab.

I have had my aol emails since the early 90's, we subscribed to their dialup for years. Yesterday they decided to require a code to be sent to an alternate email they have, but that email is also with aol. To access that email I had the same issue and it's being sent to the initial email I can not get in to. An AOL email death loop. I thought this feature was to protect my account from hackers to recover my account, but they essentially used it to add a paywall. I called them and after 30 over minutes of verifying it was me (which it seemed like they were dragging on on purpose) they concluded the only way they would fix it is for a $30 a month subscription. So there you have it, they added a requirement for both accounts at the same time to have the code sent to the other and to fix it they are extorting me. Just like that my emails are gone, luckily I was not using them for much due to other much better email services, but there were a few things that I wish I could recover. Criminals.

I HAVE BEEN BILLED A RECURRING MONTHLY CHARGE OF $19.99-$30.27 FROM THE DATES OF 01/31/12-05/09/23 FOR ONLINE DIAL-UP SERVICES. THESE CHARGES SHOULD OF STOPPED WHEN A NEW INTERNET PROVIDER WAS ESTABLISHED AT MY RESIDENCE.

Refuses to close one of my email accounts, it is well past their 90 days, not that anyone should have to wait 90 days. Talked on the phone with them and get excuse after excuse. The email address in question, has been sold on the dark web, is a safety concern and want it removed it but AOL refuses.
