    I learned about Certifikid as a subscriber to a local chapter of Macaroni Kid. Through Certifikid, I purchased two tickets to an upcoming performance of ******** in **********, ** come December. I purchased two $105 tickets and paid a (very excessive) $55 service fee. The tickets they sent me via email were for two $69 seats. I contacted both the seller and Certifikid without success. Certifikid told that I should have realized that this was a resale service. was a resale service. I don't know how they can be resale tickets, as they don't go on sale at the box office until December 10th. I, therefore, overspent $127 on two tickets and am warning others not to trust Certifikid.

    ****************** complaint was originally received via email on August 29, 2024. ****************** stated in this email that she had filed a complaint with the MA *********************** regarding her purchase of 2 tickets for ******** where she claimed she bought (2) $105 tickets and received (2) $69 plus a $55 service fee. In the offer where she purchased these tickets, it is clearly stated: This deal is offered exclusively to CertifiKID subscribers in partnership with MemberDeals You will be redirected to the MemberDeals website to complete your purchase Discount is calculated off the original box office price Service charges, facility and handling fees may apply Ticket prices are based on market demand and may change No refunds for this special offer as purchases are processed through **************************** See the actual deal here that ****************** purchased:****************************************************************************** On August 29, 2024, we responded to her email that she should reach out to MemberDeals and provided their contact information. She replied and said she had, and they were not providing a refund. On August 30, 2024 we asked ****************** for her order number and we would try to assist and get more clarity from MemberDeals. We reached back out to her on September 3, 2024 as we had not received a reply. Later on September 3, 2024, she then responded with the order number. We contacted MemberDeals on her behalf and were told the following. We shared this with ****************** on Thursday, September 5:The customer bought Preferred Access tickets which on the website the tickets can be higher or lower than the ticket pricing. These tickets that the customer purchased are resale tickets, and as a result, the guest paid over $100 for the tickets but the face value on each can say $69.00. This section is listed like this due to the demand and popularity of the show or venue. This would be the same as purchasing any resale tickets on other sites such as *******. Unfortunately, in this case, we are unable to provide any refund.We certainly acknowledge her frustration, but our hands are tied though as this is the position the merchant (MemberDeals / ****************************) is taking. This position is also supported by the offer we presented where we disclosed it would be purchased through MemberDeals, there may be additional fees, and a no refund policy. We feel that it was clearly stated in the ************************** section of the deal. Again, we do understand Ms. ******** frustration with this situation and sympathize with that. We have to stand behind the merchant we were representing as they did present the offer exactly as it was written on our web site.
