I recently had a cleaning done in my townhouse. The cleaning people left black streaks of some sort on my carpet. I let the cleaning company know. They agreed to send someone out to clean the carpet. Instead of using a carpet cleaner, they used a toothbrush and baking soda. This process did not resolve the issue. All it did was further rub the black streaks deeper into the carpet. Additionally, the baking soda left these dark white/crusty stains in the carpet. I brought this to the attention of the guy who came to clean the carpet. He said it only looked like that because it was still wet. He said let it dry and if still there to let them know. Well, I let it dry and it actually looked worst than before it dried. I followed up with the cleaning company to let them know. They said they did what they needed to do and my carpet is just dirty with normal wear and tear. I explained to them that is not the case and I have the pictures to show before and after they "cleaned" it. They would not acknowledge this and said they did their part and I would need to pay on my own to have the carpet cleaned. I expressed to them that I felt it was their responsibility to clean up the mess they made. We went back and forth and it ended with the company cancelling my cleanings moving forward and still not resolving the carpet issue.
