When I purchased my new ****** computer, on the opening screen of the Microsoft Edge browser there was an offer that said complete 5 searches in Bing search and receive an Amazon gift card through Microsoft Rewards. I completed a search every day for 2 weeks directly from that page and I noticed the tracker was not updating. I contacted Microsoft rewards customer support on 4/17 and they responded days later saying "Oh, we see here the tracker is at 3/5. Make sure you're logged in and send us screenshots if it doesn't work and we will help resolve this." I sent them screenshots of each day I made searches and the tracker didn't update and received no response; they always replied with the same automatic emails. I have opened 10 tickets about this issue and each response is the same automatic response signed with a different name and they close my ticket. Finally someone replied and said they "sent it to their research team to investigate". Finally on 5/7 the last update I got was "....We received an update from our research department and we are told that the offer doesnt show completed from the system. I hope that I was able to address your issue. If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to let us know." And they closed my ticket. How can these people get away with advertising a gift card for completing an offer, when in reality there is no gift card, their tracker doesn't work, and they don't do anything but send copy and pasted replies to everybody? This is a scam and false advertising from Microsoft Rewards.

      _____________
I missed a call from Microsoft on Sunday (Not a business day but OK) 5/15 at 12:35PM and they left this voicemail: "Hello, this is ******* with Microsoft Customer Support working on regards to the rewards issue that you were having with the amazon gift card.  I'm going to go ahead and email you further details and attempt to call you again tomorrow. Have a wonderful day, buh bye." I called them back and the number just rings and rings and no one picks up and there is no voicemail. I checked my email and I have not received an email from them aside from the automatic email. So no they have not contacted me within two business days as promised, and no one answers their phone number: ************. What kind of business calls during church on Sunday and does not answer their phone?

      Sincerely,

      Complaint #********
I just received an email saying my complaint has been closed. The previous email went into another folder. If it is not too late I would like to reply to where the business said "one of our agents was trying to reach you via email on May 15th, 16th and 17th". That is an outright lie because I have not received an email from them. I attached screenshots of my inbox. They have not contacted me at all aside from leaving one voicemail saying they were going to email me and they never answered the phone when I tried repeatedly to call them back. The only email I received is an automated email saying my case has been closed. Please ask them to send a record of these alleged emails they sent to me. Thank

I did not receive any emails regarding this complaint at my email address of ****************** aside from this automatic email on 5/17:

      Hello,

Thank you for using Microsoft products and services, we appreciate your business. This email is to confirm that your support case has been closed, the details of the service request case are as follows:

I don't know why my case would be closed without being resolved. The rep from Microsoft left me a voicemail saying he would email me and I never received an email from him at ****************** so PLEASE send me a copy of these emails that were supposedly sent to my email address. After that one voicemail, he did not pick up his phone after I repeatedly tried to reach him during business hours. The only email I have received is an automatic email closing my case.

This is response I received from their "escalation team":

      Service Request 7005214648
      Hello,
This is ****** again with Microsoft. After reviewing your previous escalations regarding this issue and the provided screenshots, the requirements for this promotion were not met, therefore we can not apply the reward to your account.
I understand this may not be the answer you were hoping for and for that I sincerely empathize with you. However, as nothing more can be done in this situation we will move forward with closing this Service Request

      ...

So basically, I searched through the Edge browser and used the Bing search engine every day for 2 weeks (and the promotion says "Search with Bing on Microsoft Edge for 5 days to claim an Amazon gift card), and their tracker did not update and register my searches. I have screenshots proving that I searched through the Bing search engine and fulfilled the requirement for this promotion, and that their tracker on their website is not working. How bizarre that a problem with THEIR software means I do not receive this promotion. I doubt anyone ever fulfills this promotion and receives these alleged gift cards.

      Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:

Microsoft says the requirements were not met for this promotion, although I followed the steps and requirements for their promotion. The problem is with their tracking which is supposed to track your searches each day. Although I made a Bing search each day for 2 weeks (more than the 5 days their promotion requests) their tracker did not update. I showed them evidence of this, and now months later they are doubling down on not giving me the gift card. This leads me to believe they never intended to have a working tracker and that it was always meant to be impossible to meet the requirements of the promotion that was advertised when I purchased my new computer.
      Sincerely,
