Formal Complaint Regarding Transmission Repairs for 2001 Honda Civic.
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction and file a complaint regarding the transmission repair services provided by Hi-Tech Transmission for my 2001 Honda Civic. The handling of my vehicle repairs has been fraught with unexpected price increases, unauthorized actions, and unprofessional conduct, which I find unacceptable.
Initially, I chose Hi-Tech Transmission based on their assurance of competitive pricing and superior service, including a free diagnostic. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the diagnostic would not be free, contrary to their initial promise. Despite this, I left my car at Hi-Tech Transmission and waited for approximately a week before contacting them for an update. At that time, I was asked to approve additional repairs, which I agreed to, based on the assurance that the total cost would be $*****, inclusive of diagnostic, labor, and parts.
To my dismay, I later learned that the total cost had increased to $*****, significantly higher than the initial quote. I had already paid $***** toward the repairs, which was unexpected, and I was informed by Jason at Hi-Tech Transmission that I could not recover my money or my vehicle unless I paid the full amount. When I requested a breakdown of the costs, I was met with refusal and dismissive behavior, as I was told the information could not be provided due to time constraints.
Additionally, I discovered that Hi-Tech Transmission had my 71-year-old mother sign documents without my knowledge or consent, effectively making her the overseer of the repairs. I was not informed of this development, nor did I authorize her to make decisions on my behalf. When I attempted to address these discrepancies and unauthorized actions, I was met with aggressive and threatening behavior, including bing told to leave the premises or face trespassing charges.
This experience has caused me significant distress, and has even played a part in my loosing my job due to no transportation, and I am seeking resolution to the following issues:
A detailed breakdown of the costs for the repairs, including parts, labor, and diagnostics.
Immediate release of my vehicle upon payment of the originally quoted amount of $******
An explanation and accountability for the unauthorized involvement of my mother in this matter.

If you need any proof of calls that were recorded just let me know. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to you prompt response.

Let me start by saying I’m z64 years old and retired and only have my SS check to live on.
took my 2013 infinity jx35 into Hi Tech transmission and electrical to get an electrical problem diagnosed and repaired.
I was informed that they would call me with the information .
After over a week I called them and they hadn’t looked at it yet but they were gonna do it that day and would be calling me .
After more than a week I called them back and they became rude and told me they didn’t have anything yet .
I waited another week then called back. Again they’ve rude and acted like they didn’t know what I was talking about and they would have the owner call me.
After a few more days I called again and told them it’s been almost a month and I was wondering how long this would take .They informed me it hadn’t been a month.( it had been 27 days ). And still couldn’t tell me anything .
After that I decided to go to the garage and talk face to face where it had been over a month.
I talk to the guy who does that wirk and was assured he would have it done in the coming week and would call me .
Needless to dsy no call .
I waited about 2 weeks then decided I would just go move the car and take to another garage.
I was told I would have to pay the diagnostic fee of 300.00 plus tax even though they couldn’t tell me the problem.
And if I didn’t get it he was gonna start charging me storage in my vehicle.
I offered to pay half to be compliant. And he again said if I didn’t pay 3pm. 300.00 plus tax and take the car istorage would be added starting today.
I had no cboice but to pay it .
I just don’ know how people can live with themselves and treat people in such a way.

    To whom it may concern.
On about the 5th of February, I called Hi Tech Transmissions on Brainerd Rd to repair the transmission on my 2005 Yukon. He told me it would be between two or four hundred plus parts. Sounded great so I had my truck towed to He Tech Transmission. He said it would be about two weeks. In two weeks he told me the cost would be 489.96; however, when I got to the shop he hit me with a ridiculous price of 6,300 dollars, so I asked for the receipts for parts which he couldn't provide and tried to convince me to go to ****** **** and take out a loan for 6,000. Because I mistakenly gave him 300.00, he said talk to **** and she would guarantee me the loan. A new transmission only cost 1,085.99 at the **** *****
This guy is running some type of scheme, and I'm here looking for justice. He's trying to steal my vehicle period. Please help me for I am a heart patient and can't handle too much stress.

Took sons car in due to overheating and AC not working. 6 weeks later we were charged $6287 due to all the “other” issues Hi Tech found. My husband took car back a week later due to same issues arising. He was told there were “new” issues that weren’t covered. Two weeks later car began to overheat again. ***** the owner of hi tech was contacted and was very rude and refused to look at the car. When my husband said our lawyer will be in contact, ***** threatened my husband saying “good luck” I make 2 million a year and I have lots of lawyers to fight you in court. Would like to request a full or partial refund.
