I originally was a tenant at a community called Ethos located at 2200 W. Meeker Street, Kent WA, 98032. This community came under management of Greystar approximately 12/16/22. After they took over management I renewed my lease around 01/26/23 but the lease never was signed by a representative from their organization for more than 60 days. Their presentative admitted in writing that they never signed the lease and I revoked my signature as is my legal right. I provided written notice of my move out 30-days advanced notice and handed my keys in on 05/26/23. I received an email from their accounts receivable on 06/24/23 stating that I owed $17,669.23 for largely for rent and fees tied to a lease that wasn't legally valid and that wasn't provided to me. When I contacted the office of the community I was told my management I was told that I only owed approximately $1000 in charges and a ledger was provided to me. After further examination of that ledger I found that there were duplicate and invalid charges on the ledger. After speaking with the General Manager of the property I was told in writing that the community owed me approximately $805. I was told my that general manager that she would now send this new information to their accounts receivable to have the information corrected and have a check sent to me. It's now been two weeks and nothing has been changed in their accounts receivable and no check has been sent to me. I'm now demanding that the amount owed to me is paid, the charges with their accounts receivable be corrected, and I be paid a fair amount for the excessive time I've spent trying to resolve this issue. People I've spoken to are:
      Manager: Natalie B*****
      Manager: Jenna A*******
      Asst. Manager: Memoranda H****

I completed an application for a corporate lease on June 22nd. The company requires a $350.00 application & admin fee to apply for the lease and as of July 11th, several messages and emails later no one has followed up on my application since. However, the leasing office did confirm my application was received & I was initially told that I should hear back with in 72 hours. To this date I have not heard back and I don't believe my application was taken seriously. I also, submitted a query to the property mgmt web portal for GreyStar and did not hear back from the corp office as well.

February 5th 2022 I went into Summit at San Marcos to apply for housing. I paid all rents up until I got laid off. I was wrongfully evicted. The reason I was wrongfully evicted because the company failed to disclose that they received benefits from the government. All debts are of the UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT PER 18 USC 8, 31 CFR 3123. After the eviction I did some research and realized that the company was under the SEC and all companies must follow GAAP guidelines. They company never had any disclosures on the contract stating that they charge off the debt every month. I have written them both the attorney and greystar. They contract was voidable to began with. I never received value for my credit card (social security card) that was used for the initial transaction. I never sat down with anyone and had a meetings of the mind with a notary present. The contract was unilateral with only benefits to the corporation. There was fraud inducement, concealment and factum. I am the holder in due course to claims and defenses and recoupment of the amounts paid (escrow). Greystar knowingly withheld benefits to me. The attorney never proved attorney client privilege and if he was working on his own validity. If this isn’t handled I will file a complaint with the attorney generals office and fill a 211 and 3949-a and form 56f form to audit the attorneys and GREYSTAR accounting to making sure they are filing taxes with the government and full recoupment of rents paid. I have request a w9 form to get their ein for tax purposes no response. Below is a statement of they account and how misrepresenting it is. They are fraudulently sending me statements to pay a positive balance. You can not pay off a positive balance. Yet you keep requesting I pay with Federal reserve notes. This has cost me harm. I can not get an apartment due to this negligence. Equity rules over all and I have a rights to remedies and recoupments.

I pay a monthly rental fee for a washer and dryer that are non-working. I have requested new units. I was told I would receive new units. They haven't been received and I'm still being charged for their usage,

Put a $300 deposit on an apartment at The Fitzgerald in Denver in late February 2023. The Fitzgerald is owned and operated by Greystar Property Management based in Charleston, SC. Turns out I could not rent the apartment due to some unforeseen circumstances. I let the folks at the Fitzgerald now in less than their required 48 hours grace period. They were gracious and told me I should receive my $300 deposit in 30 days. It is now over 120 days and I have still not received a deposit. I have called nearly every other week trying to get an update on the status of the check. Each time I heard a litany of excuses of why this multibillion dollar company could not provide a $300 refund. Finally, I was directed to a responsible VP in their Denver office who told me he could get the refund processed. He also offered a $300 gift card to apologize "for my inconvenience." He sent a virtual gift card that has turned into nearly a big of a hassle as the refund. I used the card once and then it was deactivated. The VP told me I'd have to spend the gift card in a single night as it was tied to my residency at The Fitzgerald. Which, of course, I never was a resident of The Fitzgerald. So, since the apartment doesn't recognize my residency, it doesn't recognize the gift card. Now, Greystar has just handed me another time-wasting problem and as usual, they do not wish to take responsibility for any of it. After four months, I'd like to resolve this. If it is not resolved soon, I will seek legal action and damages. Huge corporations have to play by the rules, too. Greystar does not.

I applied to one of their properties that they manage (Scotland Yard Apartments). The application process was simple enough. I uploaded all necessary documentation upon the portal regarding my income. Upon so, I receive an email from one of the leasing consultants Tyra to send her all of my income documents again. That was the first red flag. I sent over the information again and I’m ASSUMING she processed my application. I received an email from grey star stating I have been approved conditionally. I received that email 3 am in the morning on a Sunday. I was estatic. That Monday I called to receive an update, a man answered looked up my application and told me, management was finishing “Things” on their end and to call back the next day. Tuesday June 27th, I sent an email to Tyra asking for an update to my application. She said I was denied do to insufficient income or unverifiable income. I placed a call to Tyra immediately because I am confused. She stated she was not the one to deny my application, but her manager did. She said that her manager was helping someone fill out an application and she would have her call. Instead of waiting for a phone call, I went up there to the property. Upon entering, I spoke with the manager and she stated she was not familiar with my application because she just came back from vacation. I explained the situation and in the beginning she was not quite understanding me, so I elaborated more. She then stated that she was not the manager who denied my application, but her assistant Tyra did. She said she would look over my application and give me a call by the end of the day. I gave her the email to my jobs HR office to verify income and she said she would email. I get a call after 5 o clock stating that the address on my check stubs were a residential address and no one has talked to the company. I never received an adverse letter stating that I was denied nor on the portal does it show my denial reason as well.

I moved out of the Hailey Apartments in Tacoma, WA, managed by Greystar on 6-8-23. I fulfilled my lease terms. I paid for the unit to be professionally cleaned and turned in all keys. I have reached out to the business several times and they refuse to respond and refund my deposit. I want a resolution to this matter as I always paid rent on time and endured horrific living conditions there under their incompetent merry go round of rotating management,

June 10, 2023 and ongoing to present date of June 26, 2023, Avana illegally and purposely changed the amount of check *** from1,696.10 to 1,676.10 via remote deposit which is considered bank fraud. I will also be contacting my bank about this again so they can flag any checks for Avana if Avana attempts to change the amount the check was written out for and possible legal action might be brought against Avana Weymouth for forgery and bank fraud if they do not correct this issue. They also need to stop sending me harassing emails and phone calls. As of June 26, 2023, I require that leasing staff to sign a form when we turn in rent checks and they must acknowledge the amount of check and confirm it by signing this form so this does not happen again. rent checks will now be handed to leasing staff and signature will be required. it will not be left in their rent mailbox due to this issue. Thank you

I have lived in Alexan 5151 for a few months now and 60% of my time here I have requested with just about every employee for my washer to be repaired. It’s been at least 7 times and the last time I emailed back and forth with the office for a week. They still refused to actually repair my washer. I called the emergency maintenance line and he came to fix my washer 2 days later but within 24 hours it literally was broken again. Which means it was never fixed. I have spent so much money on going to a washateria as well as cleaning supplies due to the foul smell that comes after waiting so long for a repair after the washer breaks mid wash and my clothes sit in water for long periods of time and mildews and smells awful. So me and my baby have to do so much just for clean clothes through the week as well as keep a clean smelling home. Not to mention the clothes that have been ruined as well. Nobody has tried to fix the core issue or apologize for what I’m dealing with.
