This is a terrible company for rent from, I had an incident at my apartment, and they proceed to also evict me. They gave me a bad reference as they did not disclose that it was the other tenant not me. I asked to modify the lease to include myself only and they denied me. The staff will not provide you with no higher contacts. They also recently went up $300 on my rent. This company is terrible. The property looks nice but the professionalism is awful. I would recommend renting from anyone else besides them. Funny thing is, I have seen police here several times in the last 18months yet those tenants are still here.

Dont be late on payments! Theyll lock your account if even one day late and will not unlock it unless you produce a cashiers check or certified check from your bank. And then you have to mail it. My leasing office will not even produce corporates number to file a complaint, as theyre not permitted. Now my rent will be late because I cannot pay it online, and Ill get charged an additional late fee. There was no warning of my account being locked either, and there isnt any leniency if you pay later than by the 1st of the month. Seems like a scam. I will not be renewing with them. Be wary of AR Building ***

It's very clear why AR Building Company receives an F rating from BBB. They have no regard for the laws that govern landlord/tenant agreements. They are ******* in how they deal with their customers who pay thousands of dollars for poorly built apartments. My wife and I are seniors over the age of 65. We were waiting to be accepted into a government subsidized apartment during the lease period at ************************, an AR Building apartment complex. RI Law allows seniors over the age of 65 to terminate any written lease in order to move into a subsidized apartment. Rather than follow RI State law like most reputable businesses, AR Building sent us a bill for $11,777! As a result of their lawlessness we are preparing a summons and complaint in the amount of $300,000 in damages and a class act law suit that will demand payment in the millions. I can only conclude that the management at AR Building Company is just stupid or working side by side with all the other evil influences in the world today that have the "lake of fire" as their destiny.

Terrible place to live however the manager at the time was wonderful. Expensive outdated cable and internet for #***/month included in your rent. They charge you every month $63 for sewer and i usually paid $20 for water. I had to move out to ** and they charged me for a month to month rental an extra $1,000 plus $660 additional on top of what is paid monthly. You do not get your deposit returned and are charged various amounts of money and do not give you any communication. I spent 2 days cleaning and the apartment was spotless so why was none of my deposit returned--who knows.************************************ will rip you off, find a better place to live that's less expensive.*****

Terrible company. Applied for apartment and forced me to pay $325 for an application and background check (even though it only costs $50). After payment, they sent me the contract. I did not like contract terms and refused to lease with them. They refused to refund me the money. Should have provided the lease contract for review prior to application.Looking forward to the judge decision in Pennsylvania courts.

DO NOT EVER RENT A PROPERTY MANAGED BY THEM. When you move out they will hit you with astronomical fees and then when you ask questions about those fees they will not answer your emails or calls. **************** is nonexistent. Then they will immediately send you to a debt collector if you don't pay right away. WORST company I have ever dealt with.

A terrible company! Do not rent from them. I had to break my lease due to losing my job. I paid through the end of Feb 2024 and was told I had to pay an extra $8500 to get out of my lease early but there was someone renting in March 2024. The charge was for 4 extra months and they included all amenities within this amount (animal fee, cable and water/sewer. They sent me a letter dated 2/28/24 stating I had 15 days to pay or it would be sent to a debt collector. I received a call from the debt collector on 2/28/24 as well. Corrupt and greedy company. I was never late for any payment and followed all procedures for breaking my lease.

AR is a terrible Company and gauge their good paying residents for EVERYTHING from extermination fees ( for insects already in the building). They charge the most astronomical late fees , twice a month. Their rent increases average $200 - $300 at the end of your lease. Every year. They charge you for cleaning the carpets for the next tenant when you give your notice. The fee is $225. They only pay less then $100 to clean carpet, the contractor told me what he charges. They will not take your call and maintenance is rude and has access to your home. Terrible Management Company. Stay away!

Zero stars if I could. Terrible place and terrible people managing it. I moved to ****** Pointe on 08/08/2022 and there was no inspection or walkthrough, I made the inspection and took pictures of everything. I gave them a list of all the issues they needed to repair, but I never received a response or the issues fixed. One day I found my door unlocked and open, went to the office to tell them and they said it was because maintenance went in (without letting me know) so they left my apartment open. Of course I left when my lease ended, I gave them a notice with more than 60 days as they asked in the lease and took all my stuff out even before my time ended. On the last day I went to check and finish the cleaning and they had the lock changed already, I asked the manager (***************************) why they changed it if I was still on time and she only said "Oh well, we always do that", anyway they open my door and I checked everything was on order and took some pictures, I also asked her to come with me to do the final inspection and she refused to go claiming she wasn't the person to do the inspections. I left her the door key and the mailbox key and asked her for my deposit back and she told me she was sending me the check to my new address so I wrote it down for her. My last day there was on 02/29/2024 and after 15 days I received a letter from a "debt collector" (not itemized) saying that I owed them $1200 so I went to ask her what was it, and I guess she got mad because now I received a letter with the amount increased to $1400. They don't confront you face to face they only tell you to call the Resident Advocate that they own and make it look like a debt collector but when you call to check why I'm in collections at this time, they say "We are Pre-collections from the same company", they only advocate for the Company. DO NOT MOVE HERE, they will steal your money for no reason and the worst thing is that they actually can ruin your credit even if you are fighting it.
