      Predatory, deceptive, and completely unethical. Northern Moving Systems used bait-and-switch tactics and held our belongings hostage to extort nearly triple our contract price.We were quoted $8,820 under a binding estimate for our move from ************* to ******** after a detailed inventory and virtual walkthrough. We overestimated our list at their request to avoid last-minute surprises. We signed the contract and paid $4,520 in advance.On move day, Northern never showed up. Instead, a completely different company Ordo Moving arrived hours late, unannounced, and claimed our estimate was meaningless. They said unless we paid $14,780 on the spot, they would not load the truck and began moving our furniture onto the sidewalk. All our belongings were at risk, our lease was ending, and our flight was booked. We were given no choice but to comply.Northern was unreachable. Despite urgent calls and emails, no one at the company responded. They completely abandoned us at the most critical moment and left us to deal with a third-party mover we never agreed to.What went wrong:Binding estimate completely disregarded Unauthorized subcontracting Coerced payment under duress Late-day surprise fees (COI, date change)Zero communication or support on move day False promises about pricing based on inventory We removed several large items to reduce space, but the subcontractor insisted on charging based on volume despite Northerns repeated claims that pricing was tied to inventory. It was all a lie.Weve filed formal complaints with the ****** BBB, and our bank, and are pursuing legal action.What happened to us was not bad service it was fraud and extortion. Northern Moving Systems should not be in business. They prey on vulnerable families in the middle of life transitions, then disappear when its time to deliver.Avoid them at all costs.

      Ms. ********* You and your accomplice, Mr. ******** threatened our companies after adding a host of additional goods during the pickup process that if we increased your shipping costs, that you were going to "rip us to shreds" online. We provided you a price based upon the list of items in which you showed us that you intended to ship when we performed the virtual estimation of your goods. Within this industry, there exists an industry-wide rule which states, "It is the customer's responsibility to confirm the accuracy of their inventory list prior to their pick up date." We informed you verbally and in writing of this rule. You were told directly after the conclusion of the virtual estimation to double check the accuracy of your list of goods. We also sent you a virtual estimation protocol email that explained the same premise. You E-signed the contract confirming the accuracy of your inventory list. When our agent arrived in order to perform the service, additional inventory was discovered on site. You were given the option to remain with the list of goods that were estimated during the virtual estimation process, or ship the totality of the goods on site at the revised cost that we presented to you prior to loading the truck. You chose the latter. Everything went smoothly during the pickup process, as a matter of fact. The threats didn't begin until after the goods were in shipment for delivery. You have not been truthful in saying that Northern was unreachable during the pickup process. Our representative Ms. ******** was on the phone with you during the pickup process. We are in possession of the recorded call. She went over the revised numbers after you decided to ship the totality of your inventory, and you accepted the total price to ship the totality of those goods during that recorded call. You have made numerous allegations within your review that are false, only to bolster your complaints. We've done nothing illegal. If you insist that we have done so, please report us to the **************************** for investigation. We will be more than happy to cooperate with that investigation. The way this industry works is if you ship more, you pay more. No moving company in the ************* is responsible for the shipping of more inventory than is listed within the order for service that you E-signed confirming that inventory to be correct. You and your accomplice, Mr. ******** are scammers. The credit card reversal that you filed with your financial institution has been rejected. You lost it due to the fact that your complaints are untruthful. It is our company who is considering taking legal action against the two of you. What you have inflicted upon our company consists of attempted blackmail and defamation. We operate no differently than any other national moving company such as Allied, Mayflower, or United. The entire moving industry in modern times has become a network of service providers. Ordo Moving is one of our registered agents. We have many agents across the ************** just the same as Allied, Mayflower, or United. We were going to outsource this complaint for professional investigation, but you refused to work with the investigator. Instead, you insinuated and made claims that the investigator was a fraud as well. You didn't want to participate with the investigator due to the fact that you knew that you were trying to run a scam and that he would discover that scam. The both of you will be hearing from our legal representation.

      Best movers we've ever used! We had delicate glassware and valuable artwork, so we were nervous, but Northern Moving Systems sent expert packers who handled everything with precision and care. They even wore gloves and made sure their hands were clean before packing our artwork. Every item arrived without a scratch. Incredibly detailed, efficient, and professional.

      Absolutely horrible. Started with a call from ******* G who stated that my move would cost no more than $11k based on a video call I did. I opened every closet, cabinet, walked the outside of the house, opened shed and spoke about 2 8x10 storage sheds that were 75% full each. I also stated that I needed them to pack 4 sets of china and special pack 3 miniature dollhouses. I spoke of a horrible move with Corbra Van Lines and that I didnt want a repeat of that. This move here is my 47th move. The 4th move I had to pay for myself and not job related. Due to health issues I had to add the packing of my shed on to the service and agreed to the dollar amount and paid it. Day of move. Showed driver around, showed him a box in the shed I could not reach that I needed to pack collectibles and he stated he would do that. Nope that didnt happen. My ***** ******* were packed with one sheet of paper and placed at the bottom of a box with dishes on top. Yes several were broken and there were signed pieces. Found out that the Special Program they use to determine the amount of space and boxes you have, doesnt work or the employee just didnt care. Apparently I was given 147 total boxes. That included the storage sheds. Cigarettes butts everywhere, orange peels everywhere at both ends of the move. Doll houses were not packed special one had a dining chair on top of it the other had a floor fan and the third had an antique wagon and the legs to a table. None of which were protected. Dishes werent wrapped just placed in box a plastic mug had 3 sheets of paper and 4 nice German china plates had 1 sheet of paper. My boxes had been opened and looked through. A credit card that was in my purse(in the bathroom with my dog) was found in a box. Also a medication that was also in that same bathroom was found in a different box and was empty. I watched these idiots drop my boxes and furniture and not give it a second thought. The driver said not in front of the customer

      There were not additional items added on the day of pick up. If the lady doing the virtual estimate actually did her job correctly we wouldnt be in this position. What did I add on the day of pick up? It was packing, because I paid extra for that with ***, and the dollhouses were not packed special and the China was done horribly. The driver said there was no air compressor listed on the intake sheet, but on mine it was. Also it stated that there were 2 8x10 storage sheds that were 75% full each, so that is not an added charge. I packed 95% of my picture frames that I originally asked for your company to pack for me. She asked me if I would be packing more than 200 boxes. I told her I dont know. Where she came up with 147 is beyond me. I did discuss this with ******* *. He said that was just boxes not items. The driver said it was items. The lady knew that both storage sheds had plastic totes and boxes with limited furniture that I listed for her. Guess your calls are not recorded for quality assurance. I refused the hush money from your company and the transport company to prevent me from leaving a bad review. I was even told to take this review down immediately or else. Yeah Keep your HUSH money. $500 doesnt buy my silence.

      I turned down the $500 hush money offered by a company called **************************. Also when the person DL from that company became DG working for ************************************. I also contacted that company with no response as to if they knew of DL or **. Very suspicious. I DID NOT ADD any items to my shipping order on the day of pickup. A week prior to pickup I spoke with *** and added packing of my garden shed. Which I PAID for!! What exactly did I ADD to my shipping??? Can you prove it wasnt shown in that video? Because Im very sure I can prove in photos that it was in my home when the video call was made. Maybe you all need to start recording your virtual tours and when you state that you record the phone calls, actually do!! Because if you actually do have my phone calls recorded then a lawyer and a judge would love to have you in a court room. Also how many complaints did you get for September/October 2024. You all were having bad weather due to a tropical storm or hurricane and still insisted on doing the video call on that day and not waiting until the connection was better. Like I said I opened every cabinet, closet and left no stone unturned. Maybe I should have counted each pair of socks and underwear for her on the video call. This is my second response to your same response that's came through twice. Like I said before $500 hush money isnt enough to compensate for what I had to deal with. Also signing an *** that is not clearly marked NDA. The language used was for a pre business contract between two businesses. As it stands now, my reviews are my compensation. Just like all the other negative reviews you have. The *** is a powerful platform. Straighten up your act or you will really tick off the wrong person.

      This service booked me movers through a third party. The price was very high, but they explained that it was moving season and I was getting 3 movers. Well on the day of moving the movers-showed up with only 2, the truck had other peoples belonging, and they booked movers that lived 3 hrs away from me so they were an hour late. Several thousand dollars laterI still had to book a second moving company the next day. Whybc they sent a truck that had other peoples belongings and all of my stuff could not fit. I gave them a very thorough list before they got there. This proceeded to double my price. I would not recommend this service.

When we arrived, we had sufficient space on our truck for the original list of items you hired us to transport. However, we did not have enough capacity for all the inventory present, but we could have sent a second truck if you had chosen to do so. Instead, you rented your own truck and transported the remaining items the next day. We even offered you some additional compensation, which you accepted.       Do not hire them. Liars and thieves.Nothern moving systems is a ripoff. They will lie so they can get your business . The manager ******, expert in lying. Gave me a price , however, he didn't wrote down all the items I was moving ; pick/choose what to write in the inventory ******* the day before the move they charged me more money.Furthermore, the movers also asked for more money. The driver (who was from a third party moving company Best Price) said my inventory did not match with what ******/Will sold me.Furthermore, my furniture was not delivered on time. The movers cracked the screen of my 65 in TV and broke a dinning chair.Finally, the driver ***** who deliver the furniture, was in a hurry and took our copy of the signed paperwork and denied it. Do not hire them. Run while you can. Otherwise, you will loose lots of money and will end up with broken furniture.

The service order was dispatched to you, and you confirmed the transport of these 102 items. Our estimator accurately documented every item you indicated for shipment, ensuring nothing was omitted from the estimate. However, upon our arrival, you included 12 additional items, which increased the total shipment volume by approximately 100 cubic feet. Our policy dictates that volume charges are adjusted only when extra items are added to a client's service. We regret that you perceived our estimator's actions as questionable; however, our review of the database records confirms otherwise. On the day of pickup, we assured you that we would honor the original price based on the initial list of 102 items you provided. We provided you with that option, as well as the choice to ship all goods available on-site at the adjusted cost, which you selected. There were no disputes regarding the increased charges during the pickup; you did not express any concerns about the additional fees until this review was posted.       I need to tell about my wonderful experience with Northern moving system at ******** in ***************. I had to move the contents of 2 lockers back to my home state in *********. I had used another mover years ago, but they were booked. A friend recommended Northern moving system and they did not disappoint me. I had a truck reservation to get a large truck in the area, but unfortunately the truck never arrived due to reservation breakdown. At the same time, Northern moving system arrived at the storage locker on time but I had no truck. I had to go to almost ***** to get the truck which killed the day and was a huge problem. Now that event killed my day and plans and brought fear in delays for the movers. Not this time, Northern moving system stepped up big time and early the next day with 4 great guys (Yosdanny, ****** B, ****** and I cannot remember name of the 4th guy). They did a great job as I had planned to throw away old mattresses and trash away the previous day, they took care of that as well. All 5 stars from me as I do not make reviews very often but they deserve this high rating so use them for your needs. Their customer service is top notch and follow up on all your need.       We just moved yesterday. I was dreading the move for weeks. Fortunately there was no reason for it. Starting with *****, who came over to give us the estimate, all the way to every mover, everything went even better than what was promised. The movers; Zeke, Tyrell, and ******* were amazing. Not only did they make the whole move easy and seamless, but they were so incredibly helpful and absolutely lovely!! Every box and piece of furniture was wrapped carefully and delivered and placed in the proper rooms. They made moving easy, stress free and at times even fun! My husband ******, my daughter *** and I, *******, were all impressed and happy with all aspects of the move!
