    *** came to my door Friday 7/21/23 and spoke to me about my pest control. He was very polite and walked me through their processes and showed me areas that needed attention. I told him everything sounded great, but told him multiple times that I wanted to do my due diligence and look into the company and online reviews. He got defensive about negative reviews for his company to which I said that I wasn't worried about a few bad reviews that I could look past those if the majority were positive. He also made an excuse as to why their BBB reviews were so poor, should've been my first clue.
    After talking with him for an hour or so, I asked him if he would be in the neighborhood the next day (Saturday 7/12/23) and we could sign a contract if everything checked out. He called his boss to see if he could get an "opening" for 11 AM the next day to which his boss replied yes. He then tried to tell me he needed me to fill out my payment information, I declined. He said I needed to initial and sign something for the opening tomorrow and I did. I shouldn't have, didn't think much of it until he left and got messages and emails saying my initial service call would be the next day.
    I did my research and the company is very clearly scamming people. Their Google page is flooded with fake 5 star reviews that are all new. So much so that you can't even leave a review on Google. You can tell which are real, and it's all negative and they all say pretty much the same.
    *** came back the next day and I told him I wasn't going to use their company because of that and the fact he misled me into signing a 2 YEAR CONTRACT after telling him I didn't want to commit until I did my research. I asked why he would have my sign a contract, not ever telling me it was a contract, after I told him I didn't want to, he said, "it is my job to rule your objection and get you signed up for our services." I told him that was scammy and said, "you're a ******* joke."

    I have never filed a complaint against a company before so this will be my first time. I recently moved into a new construction home and noticed spiders in my basement and occasionally upstairs. We have 2 year old and I thought about getting some diy pest control from **** ************ However, one of the ecoshield reps came knocking on my door one day. He was very pushy with the service he was trying to sell and kept naming some random neighbors who subscribed to their service. He also talked about the "egg cycle" and how they were going to "flush out" the bugs from my yard. He said their truck was in the neighborhood today and he would lower the price if I left them a positive review on google. So I caved in and decided to give them a change. They told me I had to subscribe to their 1 year service plan. It was a big mistake. I had them do 2 services, each costing over $200 USD including tax. After the second service, I noticed no results. I still had the problem I started out with. I called them to cancel my service and they charged me $200 cancellation fee. Over a month after the second service, I still noticed the same amount of random spiders in my house and now outside too. I called them back asking for a FULL REFUND and they refused telling me "service was done". I tried to explain to them that I did not see any results from their services and they told me there is nothing they can do. I have paid this company over $600 including the cancellation fee. I would advise other to stay away from this company and look elsewhere.*

    Worst company around. Door to door in 2023 should have been my first clue that something wasn’t right. A contract to exterminate should have been another. Price changed twice, ran my credit card at my door then I’m getting paper bills from them….I said I’ll send a cashiers check via mail.
    Address on paper bill is different from the actual address, call customer service and you’re speaking to someone in another country. Can’t get salesman on the phone even though he said “text me” this company is a joke. Get anyone else to do your pest control.*

    Told me it would be $169, told my wife as she is signing a contract (I would not have advised her to do that), that it was a year contract then tells her the "price is good for two years" Makes sense as when I review the contract it reflects 24 month contract. I have then spent 3 phone calls with the company in an attempt to cancel the contract given Ohio's law of 72 hour cancellation. Their claim is, "Following protocol I MUST WAIT FOR A SALESMAN to call me back" going specifically against Ohio law as I am attempting to cancel the contract prior to the 3 day deadline. I then asked to speak to a supervisor or manager who could cancel my account as I am not a call center representative and cannot spend the entire day on the phone today and possibly tomorrow. She refused to get someone on the phone or cancel my account. Despite the response I get today or tomorrow, I am going to leave negative reviews on every social media platform which is available. In addition to that, I am going to message every senior executive available on LinkedIn in an attempt to shed some light to policies and procedures put in place to specifically go against Ohio Law and consumer protection laws or rights such as attempting to cancel a contract during the cooling off period.

    I left an excellent pest company to help this fledgling new company EcoShield Pest Solutions Columbus LLC. When they were doing a door to door campaign a Big mistake After their first application. They were supposed to return to weeks later because supposedly the first application was to kill existing bugs and the second to kill any existing eggs but they didn’return for several weeks & rainy days later. When they did return they did it on a rainy day and did not get all the spider nest on my porch ceiling. They were suppose to do indoors and didn’t. I had bugs everywhere and when they eventually came back I told them not to return and ended the contract by one month all other months paid automatically & directly thru my bank. Pitiful buggy experience.

    They turned over my last payment due to a collection agency of which I contacted and they gave me the phone number to the company to call them. I feel I do not owe the last payment of $850 cents they didn’t show up and when they did they did not do their jobs.

    Customers Beware!! This company is full of thieves. They lie about pricing and they do horrible pest treatments. They are scammers and will not satisfy agreed upon pricing of technicians. They lied about having a contract also. Their manager reads from a script and was not accommodating unless she could squeeze more money out of you! They are a money hungry and outright dishonest company!

    Thus is a pest and critter control company. Everything from rodents to flying or 8 legged invaders. They were supposed to find any nests, or cobwebs. Spray and place rodent bait stations. They left several huge cobwebs on the exterior of the house. Three weeks later , my son in law got bit by a jumping black spider inside the home. Then, when I tried to cancel the service, (because its too much for me to financially afford) they said they will be me $ 200 which was a supposes discount.. Then, per my agreement, I was only supposed to be billed in the months of Sept, November, January, March, May, and July. Here it is October 20, 2022, and they have illegal taken out the money for NOVEMBER'S PAYMENT. THIS COMPANY IS SHADY, DOES SHOTTY WORK, AND THEY ARE THEIIVES!!! Also, I signed my agreement Sept 1, the day I was moving in. Thw clerk on the phone says that my billing started in Aug. I Saif it couldn't start in Aug because I didn't even live at the property nor was I even there in August. I had just gotten keys to the house Sept 1. Was there with a uhaul and my daughter Sept 1.

    Dishonest. Before I signed up for the 1 year contract I was told by ******************* that I would have to pay $150 if I cancelled before the contract was up. At that point I told him that I would not sign up for the service he then offered to remove the cancellation fee and told me I would not be charged if I cancelled the service. I agreed to sign up for the sevice and verified that he removed the cancellation fee on the bill before I signed and initialed the contract. When I decided to cancel the sevice I was told that I owe $150 since I was canceling before the contract was up and when I looked up the original bill on their website I saw that cancellation fee which ******************* had changed to $0 is now changed back to $150 which they made me to pay.
