I have been a recipient of Global Meals services for the past year. However, I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the meals I have been receiving. Over the course of my time consuming these meals, I have experienced a series of unsettling health issues. Specifically, I have noticed that the meals make me feel off, and I have been experiencing numbness in my feet and episodes of dizziness shortly after consuming the food.These symptoms are concerning and have affected my well-being. I believe it is important to bring this issue to your attention as it may indicate a potential problem with the quality or ingredients of the meals provided by Global Meals.I kindly request that Global Meals investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure the safety and quality of their products. Incident happened May 22, 2024 I have been getting Global Meals for some time now and I recently tried to contact them o the telephone number provided toll free ** ************ it will tell you it's Global Meals then some voice of ****** comes on and starts talking about a medical alert pendant, I already have one but this ****** won't take NO for an answer, hung up and called back again and ****** again trying to give away a medical alert pendant starts out as free then all of sudden you end up with a bill charging for the device. The reason for the complaint is the phone number and each time I call it the ****** message keeps getting longer and longer I do not like being held hostage on the phone for something I already have and you cannot say NO because even saying NO you are going to end up with some useless device I do not need besides their food is not good at all some of it my cat won't eat.Business Response

Complaint taken over phone by BBB representative **. Consumer has meals delivered once a week. Consumer is in therapy and has had to change the delivery day to Monday or Tuesday. She has been told by the business that they only deliver to her neighborhood on Thursday, but she know that that is not true. The man who delivers who groceries yelled at her a month ago and said he would no longer deliver to her. Two weeks ago he did not deliver everything and has not made any deliveries since. She was supposed to have a delivery over the weekend or Thursday but she did not get a delivery. The person named ***** who takes the orders is rude and rushes her and the consumer does not want to work with her.Business Response

Hello,
******** ****** has been a Global Meals Consumer since 10/8/2015. Over the years we haven't had any any major issues besided her not getting along with drivers. Beginning of November 2022 something changed and Ms. ****** started calling the office and raising her voice at customer care reps, every time they tried to explain or find a solution to her complaint and if she didn't like a response she would end the call by hanging up. On November 17th 2022 while delivering the meals ******** demanded that driver should wear the mask and driver did refuse. When she called the office she was screaming at the customer service rep and shortly after hung up the call. Customer service manager tried calling consumer several times, but had no luck getting consumers on the phone and unable to leave a voice mail.******** didnt recieve her meals on 1/12 and redelivery was scheduled. Due to being unable to reach the consumer via phone redelivery waunsuccessful.l. On Januar19th, consumer missed her delivery due to not being home. On January 25th ******** called and canceled her delivery for January 26th due to the fact that we are unable to deliver meals on a diferent day. We are Medicaid Waiver Providers and must comply with all rules and regulations. We are not able to leave meals if consumer is not home. We use GEO mapping and route boundries for each route we deliver in the state of ohio. Global Meals delivers meals to all 88 counties and consumers route is auto assigned based on the location of their address.
