      I used this service to do a chimney sweep-they broke my end cap and never advised me-tried to upsell me on repairs to my outsider-pics below- they said that I needed these done eventually but never told me that I couldnt use the equipment. I tried to start a fire two weeks later and smoke quickly came into the hom due to the broken cap. I callled the company to advise them and they not only refused to help and correct their mess, they tried to upsell me.

      I contracted Shamrock Chimney to install a custom chimney cap which was done Friday September 9th 2024. I initially paid the company ****** as a deposit/down payment and immediately paid the remaining ******** the following business day. I was unable to get onto the roof initially to inspect due to my age, (69) and a knee injury, but when I did I found: The workers damaged my shingle cap; left four bolts missing from the cap; and a faulty paint job on the chimney cap which I was told was to be done when the cap was fabricated, (Also, the roof was fairly new - about 4 years old). They apparently left the job site to buy paint and the actual painting was done at the ********** store, so it wasn't dry when handled.I repeatedly contacted the company via phone and email asking them to at least send me the four bolts and compensate me for the roof repair & sloppy paint job. I was trying to be very patient with the company representative, (*****) ************ but kept getting the "run around" about the bolts and refund for the damage. I supplied them with pictures of the roof and chimney cap clearly showing the shingle damage, missing bolts and crappy paint job which I still have if needed to proceed. I feel whet I am asking is very reasonable and would like resolution to this issue.

      How could I possibly accept the response since the Better Business Bureau was not even able to get a response from Shamrock Chimney! This leads me to believe that the bureau's ability to enforce good business practices are very limited and frankly Shamrock knows this and doesn't care. I haven't received anything from them at all as they apparently run an unethical business. At this point, what can I even do except eat this and incur additional expenses for repairs as well as a ****** learned. I sure wish your agency had more "teeth" to either resolve consumer complaints or hold them accountable.

      This company deserves to be run out of business! I spoke by phone with 2 women on 2 separate occasions-- ********* and *****--in early September (phone numbers are ************* and ***********). They both confirmed a technician would inspect & clean our chimney on 9/25/24 between 9am-Noon and that the cost of the service special would be $75. The company even sent an email confirming the time and date the morning of 9/24/24. Within minutes of my receiving their confirmation email, I received a voicemail from an unidentified woman stating that they needed to reschedule the 9/25/24 appointment to 9/27/24 at the earliest, since they didnt have a technician available for the 9/25/24 appointment. Since we have to travel 3.5 hours away from our home to our condo for this chimney cleaning, this presented a MAJOR scheduling inconvenience that required us to rejigger our work and travel schedules to be available for the now-rescheduled 9/27/24 date. But wait! We received yet ANOTHER voicemail the afternoon of 9/26/24 from an unidentified woman stating that -- surprise, surprise they couldnt have their technician come out to the rescheduled 9/27/24 appointment!! Are you kidding me???? THEY DESERVE TO BE BLACKLISTED BY THE BBB FOREVER!!

      Clearly, the company failed to read and respond to my original complaint about a FIREPLACE CLEANING, NOT a LINER!  Yet another example of extreme failure to understand and respond appropriately to customer needs.  Since Shamrock's reply to my initial complaint in September 2024 is way overdue (it's now March 31, 2025), that ship has sailed! I will never, EVER use this company's services again and will dissuade others from doing so as well.

      Terrible service. Got my chimney fixed three layers, new cap and liner last September 2023. One day in July/August 2024, It was raining hard and my daughter told us its wet in the den. Had a giant puddle. It was leaking down the inside of the fireplace liner. I do not use our fireplace for a heating source, so I dont open or close the flue. My presumption is the work they did was not done well so I called them to try to get it fixed. Its been over a month month and half. I called. They said theyd get in contact with the air technicians or whatever to schedule it. Never got called back. I called again a week later. Same thing never called me back. Third time the lady scheduled it herself. When the time came, they rescheduled on us. Next time they didnt even call or show up, called and had to reschedule. Third time same thing didnt even bother calling me to tell us they werent showing. Well today 9/23 is the fourth time. They rescheduled early for 9/24 because of a family emergency so now they are supposedly appearing 9/26. An unused chimney with a new liner and a company that is known for ditching service repairing their own is fishy. I want this resolved and fixed and if they actually show up they arent getting a dime for their mess up. Should not be leaking in.

      We had Shamrock Chimney install a chimney cap on 15 August 2024. On 26 August 2024, during a heavy rainstorm we noticed water dripping into the living room. Upon inspection the attic had been soaked in water and the insulation was saturated to the point the water was coming through the ceiling. I called the company immediately to provide this information and request it be fix. I was told the earliest available time was Thursday, 29 August. On Wednesday, 28 August I was informed the appointment was canceled to the following week with no date identified. I called the company immediately to inquire why and was told they were double booked and the following week was the best they could do. I informed them that we had been lucky to it get any storms but that Thursday through the weekend was supposed to have rain storms. I was told that is unfortunate but the following week was the best they could do. My wife called back on Thursday, ************************ the morning to try to get someone out and was informed that when she is willing to be cooperative that she can call back and then was hung up on. We finally got ahold of ****** (POC identified as company license holder) and he coordinated to have ***** (tech who installed it) come out after house. ***** was at the house from 2130 to approximately 2230 on Thursday, 29 August. However, for approximately 3 hours we attempted to capture water coming. We captured approximately 40 gallons of water but missed more than double that due to how it was coming in around the baffle. I have been calling the company multiple times per day every working day since Friday, ************************************************************ order to have the damage reviewed and mitigated as needed. The concern is that enough water came in to cause mold. No one has provided that policy yet. We have a 4 month old in the house and if mold starts the company, by not providing the information to get this corrected is causing child endangerment.

      I have attempted to contact the company. However, it seems that the company has blocked my phone number and I am no longer able to reach them.

      In addition, the fix that was done did not hold and the chimney started leaking again. We had to contact our insurance company to initiate emergency services to get the chimney covered and start mitigation services on the water damage.

      I had someone out to do 3,100$ worth of work on 6/10/24 to my chimney including the flashing at the top which is causing a leak on my first floor according to my contractor. They did everything the same day, took my money, and were done in like 2 hours. The leak is STILL happening and I've called them back to ask someone to come back out 5 times, 5 times they have told me someone would come by and if not I would be contacted to reschedule, and so far every time ***** has shown up to take another look at the flashing on my chimney. They said they forwarded the case to their manager today, but I don't believe them at this point. This project cost more than I make in a month and it disgusts me that they seem to have just taken my money without solving the problem I hired them to solve. I feel extremely helpless.

      Paid for chimney cleaning and inspection. Was told lined needed to be replaced. Gave a $600 deposit for the $1,500 job quoted. They came the next day with the wrong size pipe and have not returned to do the work or refund the $600 deposit in spite of many calls and image of cancelled check they cashed. This had been ongoing for nearly 11 months. They are a scam.

      Work performed is beyond garbage work. I had a chase cover replaced and new storm collars put on. ***** cover doesnt fit, storm collars were the old ones spray painted (i have photos of them doing it) and rain caps were spray painted and put together with silicone. Whole area was sealed with aluminum tape, silicone, and shiny spray paint. Waited a month for new collars and was promised by said worker (have it on video) of a new work order because these collars werent the right ones from the first place. This company is absolute GARBAGE. I wish i saw these reports sooner. This company has no place being in business. Scammed me for over $3,000 and multiple wasted work days waiting for them to show for repairs and never showing. All these techs swore that they treat this chimney like its my own i would never not let it be 100%, well then they must live in a box in the ***** because ive seen a better repair job done by a 2 year old. Should be completely ashamed of yourselves. I could have done a better job with $40 in supplies from homedepot if this is the quality of work i was going to receive. I hope this company gets what they deserve, I will make it my personal mission to sink this company once and for all so NOBODY has to deal with this scam company and shi**work.

      your company was out to my property two times to address the issues. The first time the guy came back out and said that the collar wasn’t the proper one and will order a new one. And then the second time the guy came out and said there’s nothing wrong and no order was placed for a collar over a month prior. I have on video the guy stating that the work on top of the chimney is acceptable for his house and there’s nothing wrong with the job that was done which is far from the truth. I had to have another company come in and spent 3000 more dollars to get this issue fixed properly. You have had enough time to call back and try to resolve this issue, but you have not done anything at all. I am still waiting for a full refund of the money that I spent which was $2700.

      June, 2023 I hired Shamrock to replace and reconstruct the crown, cap and repointing of 2 chimneys for $2100.00. Soon after the job, I incurred damage to my interior, due to faulty construction ensued after rain. The interior leaked constantly because the job was done incorrectly. Shamrock did not repair the job and refused to acknowledge responsibility after months of attempts through emails and phone calls. They refused all communication.I had to hire a new company to dismantle and reconstruct the job done by Shamrock, which cost me $3900. After the job was done, I did research on Shamrock and have discovered that they are not licensed to do business in the states of ** and **. They also have multiple complaints. I am asking for a refund of $2100.00.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********* and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:


      Shamrock Chimney completed a job that was very poor and caused significant damage to my interior as well an exterior. I had to hire multiple companies to restart and re-do the entire job,which cost me over $5000.00. I am asking for $2100.00 back in restitution. Shamrock Chimney lost their license to conduct business in the state of Connecticut years ago. They fraudulently conducted business with me, without an approved license. According to the State Department of CT, they are no allowed to conduct business. Furthermore, ******* ******, the principal owner of Shamrock Chimney, has a warrant out for his arrest, according to the CT Department of Consumer Affairs. 

      I attempted multiple times to request a refund. Shamrock Chimney never communicated with me to apologise, take responsibility or make good on a very bad job.  I have already submitted a Small Claims suit to ******* ******. Today, in fact, was my small claims court case. ******* ****** was a no-show. He is hiding in the wings, hoping this will go away. Shamrock Chimney committed fraud with me. My hope is that the public is alerted to never do business with company on any condition.

      Shamrock ********** worked on two chimneys in our home. We got leeks on both after their work and for almost three months I have been calling them and gotten no answer to my demand. I like them to come and inspect their work and fix the leaking chimneys.

       shamrock chimney without appointment and I was not home. They called me at that moment to ask what was the problem and they were gone when I came home.  I did not hear from them anymore and nothing was fixed.
