A company named Great Lakes Processing called me back in November 2023 and said I owed to a certain company, which I can't remember the name, so I set up a payment plan and they started withdrawing $152.28 from my checking account on November 20, 2023. Today I wanted to look up their number to ask how much I still owe and when I searched Great Lake Processing, I read that it was a scam. I've been paying $152.28 for 8 months totaling $1,218.24.

I have been receiving an influx of phone calls from a company called Great Lakes Processing. The woman on the phone named Kim proclaims that she is representing the ****** ********** ******* ********. She calls leaving a message about a payments that are needed to be made for my account.

In my knowledge, I don't have an account with Great Lakes Processing. She calls at least once or twice in the morning, and then another woman calls my phone right after; proclaiming that she'll come to my house and serve payments. I receive the email that have the agreed payment arrangement.

I have sent the company over $40 dollars in the last two months, due to the hard financial times. I would like someone to provide proof that I have an account with them, along with a link to a website to show my balance.

Great Lakes has been withdrawing $190.72 every 2 weeks from my account since November 26, 2023 without any way to contact this company. I have made several attempts to retrieve account information and balances. I feel as if I was threatened and scammed for payment submissions.

When I listen to the vm I called her back and told her she could come to my job if she had paper work . So not wanting to be sued or be in court she gave me a number to the suppose to be legal department to set up arrangements to stop the legal process so I set up the arrangements for every two weeks for 150.00 so on the 11th when they tried to draw it the deposit was not there then they constantly started calling so I paid the first payment on 3/11/2024.

I was left a voice message by a girl named Lisa last week threatening that someone would come to my house if they didn’t hear from me by the end of day. I’m unaware of this creditor/collection agency but was advised that my collection was purchased when I called. The girl gave me my social security number and address when I asked who was calling, which was alarming. I explained that I lost my job recently and couldn’t afford to pay the amounts requested. She said that it didnt matter, I would still need to pay before they take legal action.

Hi **** I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the agency that contacted you. Great Lakes doesn't make outbound calls as we're a merchant and just process payments. You were contacted by a third-party agency "Parkside Portfolio." Great Lakes doesn't have an employee Lisa. If you'd like to reach out to that agency directly you can ask to speak to a manager at ************ but again, I apologize on behalf of their agency as we do work with them and process their payments. If there is anything I can do here please contact me directly and I'd be more than happy to help, *************

This morning I received a call from an unknown number saying they were calling to serve me legal documents and have been conducting surveillance on my house, I asked them to meet me at my job, then they gave me a phone number to call and said to call the firm and see if we can work something out before they have to serve me. I called the number and got bullied into setting up a payment plan with Great Lakes by threat of surveilling my home and job to serve me court papers. After looking into it I am very worried I was lied to and tricked into setting up a payment plan I cannot afford to keep up with. The lady was very rude and threatening the entire conversation and kept asking for personal information over the phone. I do not want to be contacted by anyone from this company ever again. If the original lender has not even bothered to reach out to me why are they hiring this unproffessional group of scam artists to harrass people?

I was contacted by an employee of this business back towards the end of 2021 regarding an outstanding balance I owed to a rental company. We agreed on a biweekly payment of $100 until March of 2022 when the remaining $1100 was paid in full. I was told I would receive an email showing that I had paid my balance off in full. Never received. I have also tried to contact the company by the number posted to the website to no avail. Since this balance was paid in full, I have still received upscale of 5 other businesses calling me about this same balance that I had paid off. All I am requesting is proof that my account has been paid in full so I can end the nonstop debt collector calls on a debt I have already repaid.

    Hello,

After looking into this further, Great Lakes is just a merchant. We processed your payment and the debt was processed from an agency of ****** ******** ********. We advised you reach out and provide information on your original account so we can get you out a paid letter as you requested. This business you made payments with is no longer in business. We reached out to Adrianna to try to resolve this and haven't heard back via phone with any original account information. At this time, there's nothing else we can do without communication from this consumer providing details we requested. Please contact us directly if you have further questions, ************.

I was contact by GREAT LAKES PROCESSING, with a vm stating they would come to my home or my job, I did make a payment plan with them, tried to contact them because I had to switch banks, couldn't figure out how, so I put it on my to do list. Forgot, anyways about 6 months later I got the same voicemails, so I called and explain not only did I had to switch banks but also in the middle of a loss of income, so set up another payment plan, the emailed forms that I had to sign, due to being at work, I did not get the chance to sign them and by the time I got back to it probably the next day, the forms were no longer available, however without me fully signing those paper, I feel like the initial agree of the payment plans is not validated.
