On December 21st I placed an online order on the "Earth Station 1" website for a DVD copy of “Monster: A Portrait of Stalin in Blood.” Their website promises product shipping within three days. I did not receive a shipping notification, nor did the website (through the link provided on the receipt to view order status) say my order had been shipped yet. They do not use postal tracking numbers. I sent them an email on December 31st inquiring about the delay. They do not provide a phone number for customer service, only an email and postal address.

I received a reply on January 6th stating the company was conducting its year-end reorganization over the holidays. This is understandable (if true), although they should have posted an announcement about this on their website so customers would know the reason for any delays.

Two more weeks pass. I still had not received a shipping notification and the website still did not show my order had been mailed. I sent a second email on January 21st inquiring about the status of my order. I received an email a few days later apologizing for the delay and promising my order would be sent out immediately.

Another two weeks pass. Still no shipping notification and the website still did not show my order had been mailed. I sent a third email on February 8th stating I still had not received my order and asking that it please me sent. I also confirmed my mailing address in case there had been some sort of mix-up. I did not receive any response – or my order. I have attached all relevant documentation.

I ordered the dvd series "Eyes On The Prize II: America at the ***************** on October 14th, paying $35. It was Order #***** Since then virtual silence -- multiple emails, they responded to one saying that they had not heard from me before and they would send the dvds right away -- this was three weeks ago. Still nothing, and no response to emails.

On July 31st 2023 I ordered a set of documentary DVD's from this 'company' and subsequently received an order confirmation stating that my order would be shipped via ********** Mail but without a tracking number. It also indicated that they do no business over the phone. These are red flags so sent an order cancellation that was ignored. On August 2nd the payment was deducted from my bank and two days later I received a shipment notice. Knowing that Media Mail is painfully slow I decided to give them 30 days.At the beginning of September they sent me an ad and I replied that they had until September 5th to furnish the material I ordered A MONTH AGO after which I would file a complaint with the ************************ and initiate a fraudulent charge procedure through my bank (I've done both). In return, I got a nasty email essentially saying that I'm a "dumbass" as well as ignorant and rude, and saying that most likely my neighbors 'porch-pirated' the package. That notion is ridiculous since the mail is delivered into locked personal boxes. Also, my mail carrier has no record of any packages being delivered to me since June of this year.

I purchased a DVD and the quality was absolutely terrible. I emailed the company - replying to a previous email I received from them when I inquired about shipping times- to let them know it was the same poor quality that is available to watch on ******* and here is their reply:Nonsense.1) What you saw on ******* was a rip of our DVD they posted without our permission.2) Like any museum, when you've got you've got, it's priceless if you do not have another, and you may well imagine if the ************************* were lost to history because it lost its arms, or the Winged Victory of Samothrace because it lost its head and a wing. Since there isn't another other source on this subject, and its contents are so dear, we are grateful to accept it in our archives like ********** accepts ***** and Victory :) .3) Since we are the only people on the planet who have this, you should be grateful! Think about it. Then think about it again. And again until you become a better person. Someone with the name Mystica should have sufficient probity and depth to understand this. That is all.Kind regards,***** EarthStation1 MediaOutlet PS: A further kindness: Don't send your email all in html format. It's marked as spam for that, and makes it a pain for anyone you email to read. This company does not allow customers to leave reviews so they can keep selling poor quality DVDs. Their extreme lack of customer service, essentially telling me to be a better person and to be grateful is ridiculous.
