On April 1st I shopped at the Harris Teeter located a ***************************************************. In addition to purchasing several food items I purchased an Ulta gift card in the amount of $50 and a three-pack of Xbox gift cards totaling $60.00. My total purchase price I was charged was $146.41 (I have attached my receipt). I was using the self-check out and had an issue activating the gift cards which caused a manager to cover over (see highlight on receipt "Manager's Override") . Neither of the Ulta or Xbox cards would work and I was advised by the store all gift card sales are final and to contact **** and Xbox directly. I have attached a copy of a text message from Xbox stating that we needed to go back to Harris Teeter. When I went to Harris Teeter I was given a card for a corporate number by ***** the manager on duty and that they could handle such. However, when I contacted that number they advised to contact **** and Xbox. I am at a loss as I am out $110.00 and no one wants to seem to help me.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/11/2023

************************* spoke with customer  ******************* on 4/11.  Apologized for problems customer experienced with attempting to resolve issue with defective gift cards.  Upon further investigation, it was found that the Xbox gift cards were not properly activated at store level, but activations slips were damaged so store could not refund without them.  Ulta gift card was activated properly.  Harris Teeter accounting office issued a refund for both cards in the amount of $110 on 4/11 which should show on customers original method of payment in the next 3-5 business days.  Gave customer direct contact information if she does not see refund in a timely manner.
