    I hired Tile Plus to come renovate our hall bath and master bathroom. I pulled a permit due to city rules. They said that would be fine but kept pushing off my job blaming the permit. Due to them not be licensed, I had to hire a plumber and they were not to touch the plumbing. Unfortunately, they forgot and installed both toilets. They installed them onto visible warped flanges which ultimately caused seepage into the floors and the ceiling below causing extensive damage and us having to have floors ripped out, holes cut in the ceiling, mold remediation and reconstruction of the bathrooms. I contacted the company to ask for at least my insurance deductible of $1000. They did not answer nor honor my request.

    We are not responsible for any plumbing in a clients home after 90 day guarantee ... ***** ***** had us install 2 toilets each are guaranteed for 90 days. I received a phone call from ***** roughly 6-7 months after work had been completed. She stated that she had a water leaking coming from her main stack in the walls (causing most or almost all of the damage) and some water had come from the toilet flanges. 

    just because we where the last company to see the condition of the toilet flanges doesnt make it our problem  its the home owners problem until Tile Plus is hired to do so  

    ***** then stated that I will be getting a call from her insurance company. I never received any calls from that insurance company.(likely due to the insurance company understanding we are not at fault)***** then emailed Tile Plus several weeks later asking for Tile Plus to pay for her deductible. mind you 90% of the damages are due to the main stack leaking in the wall. I then tried reaching out to ***** on multiple occasions and never received a response. 

    she stated the flanges on each toilet had been warped. I personally never seen any damages to the toilet flanges. Toilets where installed on the same toilet flanges that the pre existing toilets where on.

    Tile Plus did not install any toilet flanges in Karens home we also where not hired to inspect or diagnose any further issues we where hired to install 2 toilets and did just that. 

    ***** also had a licensed plumber in the home while the toilets where removed. The licensed plumber didnt notice any problems with the plumbing as he was the one hired to alter their plumbing and diagnose any future issues for the remodel of the bathroom  

    ***** ***** hired the plumber not Tile Plus. 

    Tile Plus work had been signed off on by the inspector and ***** ***** 6-7 months prior to the toilet flanges failing. 

    Tile plus is not taking any responsibility to ***** ****** plumbing problems. We installed 2 toilets with a 90 day guarantee. ***** ****** plumbing problems didnt take place for another 6-7 months after we had been 100% completed with our work! 

    we installed a walk in tile shower for master bathroom and also a tub and surround kit for the hall bathroom. All of which had 0 problems along with all the other work Tile Plus did. This is slander in my opinion especially considering I havent heard from ***** since January 8th of 2024. We completed work 6-7 months prior to her contacting me for reimbursement. 

    we are a small family ************* that takes a lot of pride in our work and as much as we would love to help ***** with her expenses we unfortunately cant!

    Tile Plus began work April 17. They were hired to demo and re-tile a small bathroom floor and shower surround as well as (2) 5x10 sunroom floors-I demoed these myself. They only worked a few hours each day "finishing" the project the following week April 26. I was away the last 3 days they were working but left a lockbox for them trusting them to complete the job as professionals. Before I left town I text ***** stating that the back door no longer opens after they installed durock over the subfloor. They had not yet installed tile or completed any other work in this room at the time. While I was away I spoke with ***** via phone asking him to remove the durock so the door would function properly. He didn't do this. He installed tile up to the door and told me I need to cut down the exterior door and raise the threshold to accommodate the new floor height or structurally adjust the room to accommodate the tile. He sent me a final invoice for the work while I was out of town. I told him I would pay the following week once I could inspect the work. I called him the following week confused why he had installed tile before addressing the door issue. He told me the door is not his problem, and I need to adjust the existing conditions to accommodate the new tile. I again asked him to remove the durock so the door would function. He stated he would not do anything until I cut down the door. Thinking we were miscommunicating via phone, I paid the invoice and asked to discuss when he was back onsite for an additional backsplash project he was to complete the next week. He did not show up to complete the backsplash nor did he return my calls or texts. Upon further inspection I realized he had also thrown away materials I told him I was reusing, broke a full box of tile, and caused damage to sheetrock. He also built the floor up too high in the bathroom, so that door no longer swings, again refusing any responsibility and stating that I need to cut down or replace the door.

    We have call the customer and have also messaged several times. She was only charge for what was invoiced. Everything was line itemized. 

    I installed stick on vinyl base for free even purchased the base. But unfortunately the walls are plaster and deteriorating due to age the house is very old home located in St.Louis Missouris that has several structural problems causing settling and walls to crack. 

    each issue that arouse along the job had been brought to her attention immediately. 

    ******* left for vacation for two weeks after we had started work. She then told us as we were working that she will be leaving for two weeks.  

    this was very unusual but with her being nice and stating we wouldn’t have any problems contacting her we proceeded. 

    each time an issue that would need to be addressed to customer before we move forward. ******* would not answer calls and would just text back saying she doesn’t want to spend more money. 

    with her saying that we just continued doing the work invoiced for as we where never told to stop work. 

    all plumbing fixtures that she says are installed incorrectly or broken are fals statements. We where scheduled to return the following week to install all new fixtures and with her not wanting to spend money we didn’t spend extra time modifying the old fixtures to look nice for a week to install new when we return. It would only cost more money and obviously she doesn’t want to do that. 

    she states she wants a refund for the work on floor down stairs because the door don’t open. Well the wall that holds the door is falling down and has nothing to do with the floor. The door was a problem from day one and never became an issue until I would return a week early to start work vs waiting for the actual scheduled date. 

    ******* was scheduled for a backsplash install and return to finish any unforeseen problems that had occurred with the doors baseboard and plumbing on the  All of which where problems because she didn’t want to spend the money to fix the problem. On May 15 2023.

    She then called and said she wants me out today on the 10th of May 2023. I told her that wasn’t going to be able to happen she then said that’s fine I want a refund. Problem is she has no reason to get a refund other then that’s what she wants. Won’t let us call her back won’t message us back. For all she know I could be calling to get in touch to give a refund but she won’t answer us.
