Customer service that actively moves to silence you instead of actually assisting. Had a concern with online account not processing orders as expected and got runaround from support. When asking for a ticket to be filed to research into this they moved me to a specialist named William who closed the chat immediately and I've since been restricted from contacting support. This was the first time reaching out about this valid concern and left a horrible taste in my mouth.

I purchased a $499 TV using two $100 Visa gift cards and my credit card. During checkout, the cashier voided the initial transaction due to an error, and when reprocessing, the gift cards showed “insufficient funds.” The manager manually adjusted the transaction, reduced the TV’s price to $299, and instructed me to swipe my credit card. The sale went through, but instead of properly applying the $200 from the gift cards, he folded them and threw them in the trash. At home, I realized my receipt only showed $300 (plus tax), with no record of the gift cards being applied. I returned to the store within 30 minutes. The cashier retrieved the discarded gift cards, but the manager claimed the $200 was temporarily on hold due to the voided transaction. He refused to return the gift cards, stating he needed to hold them to resolve the issue. I was told to come back later when the funds were restored. After several days and multiple trips (handled by my husband due to my work schedule), Visa confirmed the $200 was restored to the cards. However, the gift cards had been damaged by the manager and could not be swiped. The manager refused to manually input the card numbers and insisted there was nothing more he could do while still refusing to return the gift cards to us. I called Target’s corporate office, where my concerns were arrogantly dismissed. The representative repeatedly claimed the manager had “given me a discount” and insisted I did not pay $499, only $299, and that I should “be grateful.” She further insisted Target wasn’t responsible because the funds belonged to Visa, despite the manager refusing to correct the receipt to show the gift cards had been used or to return the gift cards to us. If the manager had truly discounted the TV, why didn’t he simply return the gift cards? This situation left me feeling uneasy and suspicious. The store’s mishandling of my payment and corporate’s dismissive response demonstrated a lack of accountability and oversight.

Just received my order that cost me almost $300 and there was almost NO packing in the box, the box was all smashed up, probably because they use the worst carrier in the business (FedEx) for their shipping. But at least even that company could have delivered it not smashed up with a giant hole in the box IF TARGET had put any sort of actual packing in with my products. Welp, like with Walmart that I haven't shopped in a decade, I'm finally done with Target. Peace. You won't be missed.

I returned an item to the Target return center. There is proof that they received the item in October 2024. They are telling me that they can’t refund me for the item. No explanation as to why. Their customer service has been giving me the runaround to these higher senior specialists who you can’t even understand them. I called three times today and got cut off and hung up on. Last repress told me that they didn't receive the item and there was no box. I told her I never took the item out of the box. I asked them to send my item back if they’re not refunding. She told me that they can’t do that. I’m out of $400 plus dollars. Very disappointed. I’ve been a good customer from day one. Never again. Zero rating. Rip offs. Emily

Windsor and Enfield CT Target stores are absolute garbage. Windsor my wife placed an online order and I got to target at 930pm est. I didn’t end up getting my stuff till 1015pm est. The associate stated that they have been having system issues since 4pm and are still catching up. They also stated people have been waiting over an hr trying to minimize how long I have been Waiting. Why didn’t they shut down online pick up or at least tell people waiting in the car that it is a longer wait then usual to give us the option to cancel and go shop ourselves. Enfield is a whole different experience. My wife places an order and the items show available online. When u get there to pick the item up we are told that it’s not available and even though the app says ready to pick up and we get a pick up code. The last time I went to the enfield target the associate told me the item was put back even though we ordered that day. I went in and spoke to a manager and they said there was a system issue and gave me a 5 dollar gift card. So which was it no one will ever know. Lastly because they mark it as system issues and not out of stock I don’t get the option to have the item shipped to me. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced and have spent way to much of my precious time waiting for target to get there stuff together.

I order on 12/17 I was to receive my order on 12/20 witch I never received. Called spoke with rep she advised me that on only option would be to issue refund. I asked if they could reship the order since target fullment center drop the ball and expidite it to me she said no because my original was not expidit. I adv no acceptable. I clearly order my items in enough time and that they where christmas gifts for child who is autistic who will be looking for his gifts. I adv i didn't even get notice that they was delayed or that still had not been processed. I ask to speak with a sup. Rep gave me case # tranf me over when the agent picked up she claim could not here although she did respond to me once and disconnect. Never the less I called back req. Sup this time agent properly merge the call. The sup adv me that the only two option was to either redo my order with est delivery 12/25 or 12/26 or they can issue refund. I adv her that insult to my intelligence 12/25 nobody open no one is delivering nor will we get them on 12/26 either, witch means its till going to be delayed. She stated that what the system gave her. I fill TARGET is not taking full responsibility for this order nor do they have any compassion for the mess up and think it's ok just by basically saying oh well we can give you back you money. I even asked if I could pick them up from different location she said no. I adv her to leave my order the way it is. This is very poor customer service and that a corporation at this level Business so praised about dropped the ball at this time of the year when gifts where clearly placed in time. SMH now I must wait while target has there money and I'm out of gifts until they are ready to do there job and ship my items. So much for your mission/commitment statement to provide/bring ease and joy for me every time I shop with target. You guys have to take on better owner ship then what u are doing or you mission statement need to be redone ASAP. MERRY CHRISTMAS

I was intending to purchase Disney trading cards for my 5 and 7 year old nephews for Christmas in Dayton Ohio. However, I accidentally purchased plastic card protector sleeves. The next day I went back to the Target store to return them and search for the actual cards. Target refused to accept the return even when they were perfectly good unopened packages. The associate told me they don’t accept any returns for trading cards or trading card accessories. Actual trading cards I can understand due to the number of scammers that buy dozens of packs, take out rare cards, and then reseal the packs and return them. But these were just plastic sleeves. They weren’t special. I don’t recall seeing a sign about no returns and I was never made aware of this at checkout. The only place I saw this was when the associate at the service desk showed me on the receipt where it said “no returns”. But by the time I’d I’ve the receipt, the purchase would have already been made. This blanket policy is ridiculous and I can’t see how it can be justified. I think I’ll be avoiding Target when I can from now on. The store address is below. 2300 Miamisburg Centerville Rd Dayton, OH 45459 United States

Went in to buy a prepaid Motorola g 5g with a$50 Verizon service plan to receive the sale price that's advertised in there weekly ad. I was denied service because they did not have someone there to activate the phone. I then went to the Fenton location and again was denied service because no one could Activate the phone to get the sale price. The previous day I bought the last one at the arnold location. They activated it for me and I got the sale price. I live an hour away. I don't want to sound rude or annoying. But it cost $20 to make the drive. I was disappointed when I couldn't purchase the phone because no one to activate it to get the sale price that targets ad is advertising this week. I don't understand how you can advertise something but not be able to purchase it at the sale price when going to the store. There is no times for the electronics department. So same as store I would assume. It's the Friday before Christmas. I was let down. Now I have to get up easily to hopefully get the phone I want to get for my neice. I'm not mad if money. I know none of us are. But im on a budget and having to make another trip up there puts a dent in my budgeting. Again I don't want to sound like a Karen. I just wish it would have worked out differently.
