            The people at Planet Fitness in Lake Charles refuse to stop charging my account. My bank says I have to make them stop? When Hurricane Laura came through I called and they agreed to suspend my account until I felt safe after the hurricane and then the pandemic. I just learned they have never stopped charging my account and are charging even more than the advertised price. I think it is fraudulent and they should not be allowed to do this kind of thing.

            When I joined Planet Fitness I did sign a contract. It is my fault for not reading it completely. I am writing this review because I think some items in this contract should be sectioned off and the client should initial because these items are important. So first almost all planet fitness are individual owner according to the corporate phone number I tried to call( so they will not help with anything). Second the only way to cancel your membership is to do it in person. I think this is a big deal and should be very clear to the client. Third the billing for the Lake Charles office is done by a third party and they start the billing on the 10th of the month but the fees do not come out until the 17th. I called and had a very detailed conversation with one of the works at planet fitness. So when I went to cancel my membership on the 13th I was still billed and it put my account in overdraft. Like I said I should have read the contract better, I would just like to make other clients aware of these process.
