The individuals that work at this establishment are extremely rude and not helpful at all. They do not offer settlements nor will they give you any information. They just want a payment over the phone. If you do pay they will not report it to the credit bureau.

After careful review of these comments we offer the following:
CBS Collections is bound by Federal Law to comply with the FCRA and FDCPA. Many times these Federal Laws are misunderstood. All aspects of this compliance have been confirmed. Many people are misinformed by the numerous credit repair companies on the internet.

When asked for proof of debt the so called supervisor Ronnie ******* interpreted me told me that they do not have to provide proof. When I tried to talk she would interrupt and speak over me then. When I told her let me talk your asking me for money but won't let me speak she stated "your more than welcome to come to **** ******* *** ********** and see me face to face" this was in a threatening manner. I asked for her supervisor she said she was the supervisor. I told her everyone has a boss even her she said she does not. This is unacceptable business behavior. Not a way to treat the public especially when you are trying to get money from them.

It is not ever ok to treat ANYONE, especially someone whom you want to be a paying customer, in this manner. I disputed this with the credit bureaus, and it was found to be not my debt! Taken off my credit immediately! Also I doubt that trying to get the potential customer to try to meet you to physically fight you is part of your protocol, or one of the "federal laws" that this company "follows", as well as a physical threat being misunderstood. This tactic of Ghetto threats or Russian mafia style collection needs to be stopped.
