While contacting customer support for QuickBooks online Bill *** issue, I was instructed to change part of my merchant profile in order to "resolve" my issue. Upon doing this, their AI erroneously flagged the account for suspicious activity and put a hold on all activity pending receipt of certain documentation and a subsequent multi-layer review. Their support person admitted to this gross negligence but refused to expedite the hold removal. As a result, we have been unable to pay our vendors during our highest volume month. The damage is irreparable. It's been 7 days and there has been no progress towards a resolution.

I am writing to formally file a complaint against Intuit QuickBooks regarding an unauthorized processing fee of over $700 charged to our business account.Prior to this charge, we followed every recommended step to disable credit card processing through our QuickBooks account. This included updating our settings, disabling card payments within invoice preferences, and speaking directly with a QuickBooks representative, who confirmed our account was configured for ACH payments only.Despite these actions, a client was still able to pay via credit card, triggering an unexpected and excessive processing fee. This contradicts the guidance we received and reveals a failure on ******* part to disclose that additional, hidden settings must be changed to fully disable credit card transactions. The representative we spoke with acknowledged that we had updated the proper sections but pointed out an obscure setting still allowed card payments. This proves the system is not user-friendly and is unnecessarily complex for a critical financial function. This is a harmful and deceptive business practice. It is unacceptable for a company of ******* size and influence to charge customers for services they explicitly opted out of and confirmed were disabled, especially after verifying changes with a company representative. The lack of a clear, single-step opt-out option for card processing is unreasonable and misleading. We request the following:1.A full refund of the $700+ credit card processing fee.2.Written confirmation that card processing is now completely disabled on our ************ explanation of how this occurred despite our documented efforts to prevent it.Please respond within 10 business days. Thank you in advance for your time and attention to this matter.

06/19/2025 Payment account was closed. I started my QuickBooks online account when I purchased my business on 06/05/2025. I started billing clients for services provided on same date. I have not received all funds from them and they're holding over $14,000 that my clients paid with out explanation. They state I can do one of two things. 1) Wait 180 from date account was closed and they'll issue the money 2) Contact each client and request their bank to dispute the charge. I have over 70 invoices that have been sent since I took over the business. Neither of these options are ideal since I can not operate my business without the funds they are holding. How can any business operate if they're denied access to funds that belong to them?

On April 1, 2025, a client named ***** ********* made a payment to my business (Sales *******, dba Legal Touch Borrower Defense) using QuickBooks Online Invoice, paying $1,270.75 for borrower defense legal assistance. We provided the service as contracted. However, on or around May 27, 2025, QuickBooks reversed the funds from our business bank account without contacting us and despite the fact that:The client signed documents acknowledging receipt of the service.QuickBooks never initiated contact or gave us a chance to contest the chargeback. Our account had previously flagged the transaction as secure, and the client used a secure self-checkout payment page. This chargeback was handled unfairly. QuickBooks failed to follow a reasonable dispute process and ignored multiple attempts I made to submit documentation to their dispute team. To date, *** received no official response or transparency from their merchant services division. This chargeback has created financial hardship and was processed in a way that appears to violate standard business practices. I am a verified, long-standing business account holder, and this action was taken without due process or protection.

THEFT and FRAUD by QUICKBOOKS!After successfully linking my business checking account to **********************, I accepted nearly $6,000 in payments for handyman repair services, using Quickbooks. ** closed my account, will not tell me why, and will not release my funds to me or return the funds to the customer. They say they have a right to hold the funds for 180 days, per the Merchant Agreement. They told me if I want to get my money, the customer has to file a dispute AGAINST ME. WHAT?!!So I professionally asked my customers to dispute the charges and explained to them that ** is fraudulently holding their payment and not releasing it to me. Here's the kicker: The customers are not able to dispute the funds because their bank/credit card requires evidence that the funds haven't been released to me. I don't have evidence that I didn't/won't receive the funds, and there is no where in my ** account that says funds will be held for 180 days or until the customer disputes the charges, so I cannot give my customers evidence to support their dispute, either! On top of that, QB won't tell me where the funds will go after 180 days!Quickbooks is fraudulently holding and has stolen nearly $6,000 from me. If ** could not clear the funds to my business checking account, the payments by the customer should never have been able to go through on the customers end. Furthermore, QB is unwilling to release the funds directly back to the customer, per my request.

Transaction was 5/20/2025. I was offered a "for life" promotion that QuickBooks now refuses to acknowledge and is billing me for services I do not use.

Quickbooks is holding my company's payments that were made to me by my customers without explanation. There is no ability to contact customer service directly and when they do communicate they tell you there's nothing they can do. Quickbooks is a fraudulent company withholding funds wihtout cause. They also will not cancel the transaction and return the funds to our customers. ** is a complete fraud.
