I received a lawn mower from my grandkids for my birthday on **************. It had a 3 year warranty on it. The lawn mower has been acting up this spring and as of May 14th, 2025 it completely stopped working. It will not start. I called SKIL customer service and was told to keep my battery, charger and bag and to not send back the mower but they would send me a new one without a battery and bag. I never received a tracking number so I called again on June 2nd, 2025. I was told it was processing still since it wasn't in stock and that I would receive a call the following day with an update on when they will be in stock or what else they could do for me. On June 3rd I received a call back stating that they don't know when it will be in stock and they can't send me a different one or reimburse my money. I asked if I could go buy the same one and have them reimburse that one and they said "no". So I asked if they were going to pay my neighbor kid that I have been having to pay to come mow my lawn which they also said no to. They told me to wait until the middle of June and they MIGHT have an update as to when my model will be back in stock. I am on fixed income and can't afford a new mower or to pay my neighbor for more mowing. It is spring here and I need a mower!Initial Complaint

I purchased a skil combo drill driver and impact drill on 5/19/25 at lowes. I charged the battery overnight and the next day the battery only lasted about 45 seconds. I them contacted customer service to take advantage of their warranty but the representative denied any warranty due to me purchasing this drill set while it was on clearance at Lowes. The skil representative went on to inform me that it says in their warranty that clearance tools are disqualified from their warranty. She then told me that I can read their warranty on their website at will state as she said. I read their warranty on the skil website as instructed and read their warranty several times and at no time did it mention anything about clearance items being restricted from their warranty. I called skil back and their second representative agreed with me that the previous representative was uninformed about their warranty process but went on to Warranty the battery. She then said that she would request and excavation to a supervisor so that I could put in a complaint. Later on in the day I got a call from the skill supervisor which they claimed that they where gonna review that call where I was denied warranty and they would follow up later that day. Immediately after hanging up with that supervisor I get an email from the supervisor offering me a t-shirt of a koosie. This supervisor had no intention on listening to the recording of that call and offering me a koozie is not resolving the situation. I wasted alot of time due to an uniformed employee at skil. Skil has no customer service and for a battery to be no good right out of the box is ridiculous. I was just getting into this line of tools but this was definitely a decision maker for me. Due to a recall I shipped my lawnmower Skil lithium battery on 3/10/2015 via **** It was received at the ******* location on 3/12/2025. Tracking number ************************ 3/21/2015 I called to check on status of replacement or refund. I was told that battery hasn't been checked in yet? I questioned why it was taking so long to ship back the replacement battery? I was told that could take weeks to get the replacement or months to get a refund for the battery.I live in ********************* and I need to mow my grass now and will have purchase a new lawnmower to get the job done.I wish when initially I called about sending the battery back that representative would have given me an honest answer as to how long the recall process would take. The battery was working fine. He said as soon as we receive the battery we will send a replacement- not true, it was received 10 days ago. They can't even tell me long it will take to check the battery in now?Customer Answer

I received a replacement tool under warranty. A few months later, I had an issue with the replacement tool. A charger and two batteries were purchased at ********************** and Skil had a promotion if you buy the charger and two batteries you get an extra two batteries. It took a total of 9 phone calls to Skill to eventually get them to at least replace the charger and two of the batteries. All the Skil tech support people said that they are recommending replacing all batteries because they are all leaking but corporate overrode this many times and refused to replace the other two batteries. All Skil does is keep delaying the replacement of the defective product so the customer just gets frustrated and gives up. They defiantly believe in the 3 D's (Delay,Deny,and hope I die mentality).Skil has a defective product with there batteries leaking and this his a major safety hazard across the board. My plumber **** who is using the product is very frustrated that these leaking batteries leaked all over him ,his car and all his tools . You would think after Skil seen the ctures they would step up to the plate and take care of the safety and hazard conditions of these batteries. But of course this has never been a priority for Skil otherwise I would not have filed this complaint.Major Safety and hazardous product to both the customer and the environment and ********************** keeps doing the delay process and never responds back to *********** plumber wants to know who is going to pay for the damage to his other good tools and car?Initial Complaint

I bought a Skil sander, from Amazon. The sander is missing attachments and the backing pad doesn't come off or rotate, as it should.Efforts to contact Skil are unavailing. I purchased a Skilsaw heavy-duty worm drive table saw (SPT99-11) on June 13, 2022. The saw burned out and stopped working in April of 2023, within the one year warranty period provided by Skil. I first called Skil customer service to inquire about repair or replacement on April 11, 2023. I was told that if I could provide documentation that I had purchased the saw within the last 12 months, it would fall under warranty. I was also told that because the nearest certified repair center was located roughly *************************************************** a new saw as part of their warranty program.Between April 25, 2023 and November 15, 2023 I called customer service a total of 13 times in order to try and track down the saw they were allegedly going to send me. On one occaision (May 30, 2023) I actually received a shipping notification from Skil notifying me that they had shipped the saw via Old Dominion Freight Lines. The tracking number they provided me with could not be found when entered on the Old Dominion site. After about two weeks with no saw being delivered, I called Old Dominion and they notified told me that they could not locate the package and had no record of it being picked up by them. The representative also told me that typically when someone in my situation reaches out, it is because the party sending the shipment (Skil) has provided a fraudulent tracking number and never sent the package in the first place.Over the next several months, I spoke to various customer service representatives at ********************** who all assured me that they were working on the issue and had to bring it to their customer service leads. Each time I was told that it might take a day or two to sort out the issue and that they would call me back. None of them ever called me back.It has now been almost 9 months since I first reached out to Skil customer service and I still have not received a new saw or even a shipping confirmation or functioning tracking number.Initial Complaint

I want my Rechargeable 4V Screwdriver with 42 PC Bit Kit replaced like I was told by 2 of ur employees told me few weeks ago and ** only sending the screwdriver witch is wrong I record all the conversations with ur call center and got the records to prov they said they send me the hole kit
