This company is a complete scam, I was quoted 195$ to bring a semi across the road to a service shop. Upon completion my driver was hit with a 685$ tow bill. When I called to get an explanation the bi polar owner was screaming and cussing at me mind you we are on a recorded line. Also there was threats of impounding my truck etc. After I paid the tripled bill just to unhook my truck he called me back and acted totally normal stating that he apologizes for his other dispatcher but it was very clearly the same person. Either this guy is mentally unstable or on substances. Upon further review of this company seems this a very common issue with this company. I strongly urge people to stay away from this company. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY PLEASE.

I called them on Sunday July 13th 2025 as I was heading home from *******,*******. Their number popped up as mobile mechanics that work on rvs and trucks. My rv was experiencing brake issues. They dispatched another set of people who 1 showed up smelling like pot ,they rigged the brake line with a clamp, which come to find out could have costed people their lives. Told me they would be by my house in the morning to finish the job with the caliper which is what was bad on the rv, but they needed to collect the money first. I was forced to giveth 560 dollars in cash because that's how they expected to get paid, they gave me a receipt in someone else name that they serviced earlier that day. When I told him he gave me the wrong receipt receipt playing with his phone and said he would send when he can. When the morning came, they ghosted me stopped answering calls and texts. When I called preferred back to report this, the lady sounded sincere at first, said I would get a call back, then I called about an hour later she still sounded sincere tried to reassure me it wasn't a scam and that the owner was in a meeting. About 2 hours more I called back, got the owner on the phone who proceeded to threaten me and said" stop f****** calling here or i will find out what happens". I have since tried everything to get my money back and nothing. Please help. I had to have the rv towed to another shop to be fixed and it's costing a fortune. Please help.

5-19-25. Car blew a radiator hose, parked in a lot off of ******* and ***********************, **. Found this company via ****** search. Called and asked if they had a truck to come take me back to ********, **. Company person said yes. Asked how much, he said they will let me know when the driver gets there. Driver gets to location, ask about price, said that it won't be alot, he will take care of me. Tell him I have a credit card, he says ok good. During the drive, I hear stories how he used to gang bang and stories of gun fights. Not sure if this is ment to be a threat or not. Tells me all the times he has been shot. I create small talk about cars. I mention I have a 70 camaro (this matters later in the story) just trying to not talk about gang banging activities. When we get to exit 308, driver mentions that he is going to take me by my bank to get cash. Said cash is the only thing he accepts. Never said this till after a 35 mile tow. Driver threatens that if I can't come up with the cash, he will impound my car. I worry about being able to pull enough cash thru the **** since the bank is closed now. Driver mentions that he would take the camaro for payment if I didn't have the money. A 40k dollar car for 650 dollar (not known yet) bill. I pull 700 from the bank, don't let him know, and he charges me 650 dollars. No price was negotiated or was this said at anytime prior or during the tow. After he drops off the car, driver speed off and I get a text receipt. Given this poor business practice, and what seems to be a repeat occurance on ****** reviews, this company needs a serious investigation. They are using the cash only scam for some reason. What modern business does not allow credit cards? I offered to call the company and submit payment over the phone, not allowed. What happens if I don't have the cash laying around? Do I loose my car and have to pay trumped up impound fees? If the driver going to make me another gun fight? This needs remedy.

I was quoted $125 for the tow over the phone and $3 dollars a mile to go 8 Miles from my home. The tow driver arrived and hooked up my car on to the flat bed without even coming to my door. Once he had my car on the flat bed he knocked on my door and told me it was $400. I told him that is not what we were told over the phone. We were told $125 plus $3 dollars a mile. I told him if that was the case to put my car back in the driveway. The driver refused and demanded I pay him $400 or he was going to impound my car. I am ************************************************************************************************************* I had to get him $400 CASH. I went and got him $400 CASH and asked for a receipt and he said we do not give receipts. He left with my vehicle and dropped it off at the dealership. Since I do not have a receipt, the dealership gave me the photo uploaded from their security cameras to prove they towed my car. They will not return my calls and have hung up on my daughter multiple times when she has tried to call them to ask why they did this and to get a receipt.

I used this company to have my semi truck towed to the dealership. The dealership called me and stated that the transmission was damaged due to how the towing company told the semi truck. I have reached out to the business multiple times to get their insurance information where they have Stated they will not provide that and have been blocking and ignoring all of my calls since then. I have proof from the dealer stating that this was caused by the towing company and they still refuse to give their information to file a claim to get this rectified and repaired.

The transaction occurred on 9/19/24. This company said they could come pick up our 20' box trailer right away, but instead we had to pay our 2 guys to wait over 2 hours for the tow truck to come. It took the driver way too long to go the 10 miles to our shop. Once he was there, we were sent a link to pay and it was $2300!!! The driver would not unhook and kept our trailer hostage until we paid. This is criminal!!! We kept calling and complaining and they finally lowered the price to $1000. At this point it was very late and our employees wanted to go home so we paid it. But I am looking for a partial refund as this is completely criminal!!! The driver barely worked an hour and then you hold our property for ****** so you could overcharge us?!?!?! Next I will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General.

On 08/20/2024. I called this towing company to recover my vehicle from a theft. When the tow truck driver got to my house, he asked for payment via venmo because he stated their roadsync app was not working. I obliged and paid $1,611.96 via venmo with the "Goods and Services" protection tag on it. Because of this, there was a 21 day hold so they would not receive the payment for 21 days. Because of this; the tow truck driver (*****) stated he couldn't release my vehicle until I paid another way. He then stated that the app was working and I could pay via credit card. I ended up paying with an AMEX for the same amount, making 2 payments now. I was told that after the hold came off, his boss, ***** (****) ******* would reverse the transaction so I could get my money back. It now has been 30 days and **** has refused to send me my money back. Him and his company have received 2 payments of $1,611.96 and refuse to give back my money for the venmo payment. I tried reaching out to the company and they have hung up on me and not returned my phone calls.

On 8/17/2024 I had car issues and called local tow company ***** 24hr Towing in ************* to request that my car be towed to my mechanic who is located in ******* at **********************. I was told that a truck would be dispatched to me by the person that answered. I called before noon and at 3pm when they were not there I called ***** back and they had no record of my call. While I was on the phone with them a truck showed up from Preferred Emergency Road Service and told me it would be $50 base plus $3/mile from my home to the mechanic which is 18.1 miles. I rounded up to 19 miles a $3/mi plus the $50 base would be $107. When they dropped my car off the man said I owed mileage for him coming from *******, Il to ********** to *******. I never called *******, I called ************* which is less than a mile from me. I am asking this to be reviewed as I was charged $263.77 over the quoted amount. I am asking for the difference to be returned or simply to make this known so other consumers are not impacted by this.

On July 19th, 2024, I was driving Eastbound on I-80 when my tire blew out on a boat trailer. I proceeded to call Preferred Emergency to help with repair. They did not disclose any cost including cost for time between origin of call and arrival and then cost of tire being 6x actual cost. I believe their practices are deceiving clients and taking advantage of individuals in stressful situations. I tried calling immediately after invoice was provided but was hung up on twice. I then have called back and was told the boss will call me but never does.
